He needs to develop as a passer. Take it from Josh Freeman. The way he played in 2010, he couldnt continue to play that way once the league adjusted to it and never adapted to becoming a pocket passer, hence hearing the "Bust Label" getting thrown around more than ever now.
Newton needs to only use that athleticism when all else breaks down. That can't be his first instinct. His intangibles and QB instincts were a question mark coming out and only played 1 year of D-1 Football.
He's a heck of an athlete but to become a successful qb, he's got a long ways to go.

The same Newton that had a 120 rating against the undefeated falcons like ten days ago? You guys overreact on a week by week basis. Why is it that every time an athletic qb has a bad game its because he some how tried to 'overuse' his athleticism? You dont throw for 4000 by being able to run fast.

Josh Freeman and Cam Newton should never be mentioned in the same sentence.

Numbers are always a bit deceiving either way. What i saw against Seattle was a guy who looked lackluster in his approach and not that accurate throwing the ball. We comment on things we see around here, i don't see anything wrong with that.
Big picture, Newton can lead a team to the playoffs, i think, if the pieces are in place, which they obviously aren't. The thing that scares me with him isn't talent but attitude.

I wouldn't be too worried about talented young QBs who go through struggles. Not all QBs are going to play consistently well early on. Drew Brees, Eli Manning and Alex Smith are some QBs I can think of that struggled at times during their first few years. Some QBs just need time, even if fans want instant gratification.

Weeden is balling. He should be on this list too IMO.
His WRs are who again??
The Browns are not drafting a QB in the first round for a while.

Define awhile
Awhile for most NFL teams or awhile for the Browns?

Hopefully the Redskins have some real receivers and pass protection one day, because RGIII has the accuracy and arm strength to be a serious drop back passer.

Luck is such a baller.
I wanna see Complex's excuse as to how he's overrated and sucks.

Where did I say he sucked or was overrated? I said he was overrated in the draft because I thought RGIII was better. BTW it was just the browns.

Pretty sure he's over the limit of what's considered young in the NFL.

That's funny because during the offseason all the talk was about how the Redskins gave RG3 all his weaponzzz when they went on a spending spree and signed Garcon and Morgan and they were going to be the focal point of the aerial attack. Now they aren't good enough?

Yea, if we're going to add Weeden then we may as well add Aaron Rodgers and Alex Smith, because he's older than them.

Well, Garcon hasn't been healthy since Week 1. Just lost Fred Davis for the year. He is making Santana Moss relevant though.

Garcon is not better than Reggie Wayne so the argument that RGIII has better weapons to throw to is not entirely valid as Hankerson, Josh Morgan, Aldrick, and Briscoe are all scrubs. No idea why Santana does not get more pt.

Aaron Rodgers, Eli or Peyton would crush with those guys. It's all about how well the starting QB is familiar with the offensive scheme. Grif knows the offense as well as any rookie QB can, but his proficiency level isn't high enough to make okay talent at WR play outstanding football week to week.
