I'm talking footwork, post moves, IQ, ability to score from different spots on the floor, passing, ability to finish with either hand, Hibbert is the answer. But because Bynum has the strength and athleticism that Hibbert lacks, along with a few of those skills, he looks much more 'dominant' at times. So therefore, most think its because he's highly skilled.

We have different definition of skill then....I factor in athleticism/strength/size into a skill set. Pure "skills", I think it's Big Rudy Cool Al.

Meh, I always thought Hibbert was just alright on the offensive end. Not anywhere near Bynum thats for sure. I'll watch him more this year.

That's talent IMO but I suppose it's semantics.

I really think all that matters when it comes to evaluating a player offensively is ability to score points. I don't care how its done as long as they can put points on the board, but obviously you have to weigh offensive circumstances into this (team pace, offensive possessions, talent around them, ability to make others better...etc)

It's not just about points. If you're getting constantly double/triple-teamed, you're not going to end up with a ton of points. If you're getting your points and also helping your teammates get theirs, you're a good offensive player.

stop using logic. Bropez was awful offensively because he shot a bad percentage even though he was doubled and tripled because Bobby Simmons and Yi were on offense with him. There was seriously a point where the entire Nets offense was pick and roll with Bropez and Devin Harris with everyone else chilling at the 3 point line. It was embarrassing

Which is why I said that it certainly depends on circumstances. Obviously its going to be more difficult to score if you draw more defensive attention. A team's offensive pace also has a lot to do with it (see inflated GSW stats) as do many other factors. I was speaking more in terms of a vacuum situation if these factors theoretically didn't exist. I was more trying to say that I don't really care how you score (whether it be with skill, athleticism, strength...etc), but its that simple ability that matters.

In every which way you wanna slice it, Roy Hibbert is not the best offensive center in the league.

I'm hoping he does that now, but in the past, he had nobody to pass to. I'd rather him take a low percentage shot than kick it out to bobby simmons or trenton hassel

i LOVE trenton Hassel. Just not to shoot. I've blocked those years out of my head, but those Nets teams were just so devoid of talent, it was brutal
