Congrats man! jrdrylie has the right idea on wedding planning. Get the stuff done as early as possible to avoid stress by doing stuff last minute. Make sure to get the big stuff (venue/food/dj/photographer) booked first.
A funny thing I was told before I got married was to get a big empty pickle jar. During the first year of marriage, you're supposed to put a quarter in the jar everytime you and your wife do the deed. After the first year, you take a quarter out of the jar everytime you guys do it. Rumor has it, you'll never empty that pickle jar. Enjoy married life, my friend.
:)

But seriously congrats. I support the institution of marriage, unlike most of the heathens around here!

Congrats. If you pick the right one marriage is great. A few tips, based on life experience.
If you two are very young, make it a long engagement. Getting married too young is a mistake that most people can't work through.
Try to figure out the **** about each other that really bothers you BEFORE you get married. Address it, with a counselor if necessary (mini-tip, your wife will probably accept truths from a 3rd party that she won't accept from you. It sucks but that's how most marriages are.). And understand that sometimes you get annoyed for stupid reasons and need to get over it. The same goes for her.
Figure out what you are both good at and divide the various life responsibilities as it makes sense. If you suck at paying bills on time or managing finances, don't be a prideful dumbass and insist on being the one in charge of money.
While you are married with no kids, do as much fun stuff as you can. You will have time to be boring once you have kids. Travel, try new things, become really good at something that you think you'd like to do the rest of your life. Because you won't have the time or money to focus on any of that **** when you have kids.
Time her cycle and then visibly do manly stuff around the house the week before she goes on the rag. It isn't fool-proof but overall sex should go up. Biology FTW.
Have friends and spend time with them. If you become too insular you will probably get on each others nerves.
Try to anticipate what she wants and needs, but also make it clear you are not a mind-reader. It took my wife 4 years to finally start understanding this. It helps if you demonstrably make an effort, and some women don't suck at asking for what they want/need. But most seem to.
Good luck and have fun.

as far as words of wisdom...wedding planning sucks balls. no way around it. if ya want to have a say, pick **** that is important to you and smile and nod for the rest of of it.
