I read the Tigers might non-tender Porcello. I know he was rushed, but why? Is he THAT bad?

Dusty makes stupid decisions just like every other manager. He just got extremely unlucky in this series.

The Tigers have a righty heavy rotation and he'd be the fifth starter. I'd say it depends on Sanchez. Porcello's not a big strikeout guy and Smyly is probably the better fit at the bottom. I wouldn't mind stealing a few prospects in exchange for an arm that may never reach its potential and is useless to us.

He's just hated by everyone these days which is great. Yankees fans hate him more than non Yanks fans at this point. He's just been getting killed here.

Arod still is a dangerous pinch hitter against either Matsuz or Patton. Don't smile yet.
Speaking of Arod, in few months ago, the word was out that if Yankees did not make it to playoff then staffs would be changed. So, if Arod does not hit jack throughout the playoff then the Boss brothers and Randy Levine should be fired. They signed Arod behind Brian Cashman and now Yankees may have problem with budget of 2014. Arod's 27.5 plus Home run milestone. Ugh!!
What a hypocrisy!
Let's Go YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still rooting for a Battle of the Beltway. I live half-way between the two cities and was excited to see both of their seasons stay alive.
With all the former Phillies having walk-offs, here's hoping Thome can (kinda) do it tonight!

Columbia has more Orioles fans around though. More and more have come out of hiding.

Yea definitely. Seeing lots more Orioles decals and magnets this year than the last 3 that I was living here. That being said, I commute into DC and I've seen even more Nationals decals/magnets show up down there. Every other car I drive past has a Nats or O's one now. It's a shame DC is such a football town. The Nats had the best record in baseball but all anyone talks about is RGIII. Its comforting to see all the O's fans come out of hiding and actually talk O's instead of Ravens though.

I just want to win so badly now, so I don't have to hear that stupid Orioles magic song hopefully for another 15 years.

No he really isn't. He's lost his confidence.

Who sang that song? It sounds like a bad Neil Diamond impersonator.

**** you Michael. Maybe if your team wasn't hopeless for the next 5 years, you'd accept things.

Maybe, but I don't have a lot of interest watching four teams with 100+ million dollar payrolls, three of which have won the last three World Series.
I guess under that scenario I'd have to root for Detroit by default, but that's a sad prospect.

We haven't won a World Series in 28 years, okay.

That was tough to call. The one angle it did look like the ball changed trajectory but not sure if you can say it was indisputable so I don't really have an issue with them not overturning it. Tough break there.
