He's pretty much the exact same height give or take a half an inch, and he's extremely strong. Not all 7' 260 pound guys need a jumpshot, especially with his defensive potential.

What relevance does defensive potential have with his offense? He's a work in progress. He's only 18, so he has that going for him. I like him, but I'd rather see him play PF

I hate the Pistons and Brodeur's stupid face as much as the next guy, but knocking Drummond because he doesn't have a jump shot is kinda really dumb. I'd actually prefer my big men not to have jumpshots because it gives them the confidence to stay out on the perimeter a little too much. I'd rather them stay in the block all game and run their offense with their back to the basket.

Is LeBron James sucking still a thing or are we over that phase?
Kidding. Just getting the thread subscription.

Yeah. Sheed did that. He could do pretty much everything, but he'd just camp out at the three point line so damn much.

Yup. I loved Sheed's post game, he was like a thicker Lamarcus Aldridge with 3pt range. Just incredible length and skill in the post to be able to score the ball any way he wanted, yet preferred to camp out around the perimeter waiting for a kick out. Incredibly frustrating.

Isn't his raw offensive game that you cited earlier more of a reason to play center? He certainly has the size to do it and great athleticism on top of that. Plus it allows Monroe to slid to PF, which suits him better.

I have reason to believe packmann is quite young and has not been familiar with the NBA for too long.

Aww man, I forgot they had Drummond. Now they can put Monroe at the 4 where he belongs. Drummond and Monroe are going be sex for the Pistons. I'm eager to see that duo go to work.

Huh? It also limits his scoring ability, because he doesn't have a jumpshot to mix into his game.

How much did it limit Shaq's scoring ability? How does it limit Dwight's, or Bynum's? Big men don't need a jumpshot because they're big men. They have the height and body to stay down low and still score often and efficiently. Skill in the post is what you look for from a C, not a ******* jumpshot.

Yes, but Ibka was raw as a prospect all together, for example, but he developed into a top 10 PF.
He can be raw, but he can still play the PF position.

....why would Drummond play PF?
He has the size to play C and the Pistons have Greg Monroe....

Packmann isn't making a whole lot of sense.
