I sat down hoping to knock out a bunch of rankings and when it came to creating a "Top List" I found it difficult to slot these senior prospects.

-Still believe Tyler Wilson is the top senior signal caller and top overall senior
-Barkley is the 3rd QB and there doesn't feel to be a whole lot of upside with him
-Plenty of interior linemen (4) in my Top 20 along and it's a strong year for the guys inside
-Jordan Poyer has the ability to, at the very least, be a top end #2 CB
-Tavon Austin doesn't seem to get a lot of talk when it comes to the top receivers but the guy is a difference maker in the mold of a Percy Harvin, Randall Cobb, Antonio Brown type

I am welcome to criticism and I really wish I was able to extend the length of this list but formulating the Top 20 was hard enough.

I'm kind of surprised to see Tyler Wilson as your #1 overall rated senior and QB, but I think that is a good list.

If the DB's continue to be atrocious I could see us targeting another corner early and Poyer would be a great fit.

No love for Trufant? Playing lights out so far. Was fantastic this weekend vs USC and is thriving in this new defense. I think he's a great fit for a press heavy team and pretty similar to Kyle Wilson as a prospect.

Before this year i would have said no but he's really turned it around. Thought he did a great job when covering Lee of the Trojans.

Why? Every DB we pick sucks. Just draft for other positions. Try to sign a veteran safety. DE opposite Chandler Jones, and an olb who can play in space would be my top two targets on defense. Then, a couple of OL.

I would be all for drafting another pass rusher but you know damn well we aren't throwing big money at a FA safety these days. I wouldn't mind it but I don't even consider it a realistic possibility. Kenny Phillips will be an FA and would be an awesome fit but he's going to want stupid money and somebody will give it to him, and it most likely won't be us.

I could see us going in any number of directions. People want to blow up the team because we are 3-3 but this roster has a ton of talent. We could definitely use a couple OL, another pass rusher, maybe a receiver, and a few dozen DB's. If we win a few in a row we will be ranked high in the power rankings and Pats fans will blow collectively their load. Now we're 3-3 and it's ******* Apocalypse Now. Let's be patient and see how we recover, it's not like there is someone in the division who is 6-0.

Oh most definitely, when Mcshay put him in his Big Board I said no way. They hired Oregon State's DB coach who specializes in press coverage. The CB's are much more confident being on an island.

Ok list, missing a few players I think, Eifert is a huge one and
Cornellius Carradine, could also include academic seniors (RS juniors) and there are a lot of them with Mingo, Jarvis Jones and Fluker among others.

And most people have the same dudes at the top, key is the later ones not always talked about or hyped that make the big splash come draft time.





Stepfan Taylor Stanford- very underrated, tough kid has gotten better and stronger every year, very solid pickup for any team in need of a back.

Marqueis Gray Minnesota- injury issues for sure, big as a receiver and or running back he has tons of potential. Has a lot of experience as a receiver and what a weapon possible at 6-4 245 WR or RB.

Vance McDonald Rice- could be a freak tight end, pass catcher that has played receiver, if he could transition and show some toughness inside watch out.

Reid Fragel Ohio State- great talent, playing great football and possibly making himself a lot of money if he keeps it up.

Xavier Nixon Florida- not many talk about him but like his athletic ability, like his game and upside as a pass protector.

JD Woods West Virginia- could argue he has been hands and ball skills than Williams does from Baylor, raw and inexperienced but very skilled.

Markus Wheaton Oregon State- love his quickness, can make you miss, has good open field moves and soft hands.

Kapron Lewis-Moore Notre Dame- been around for awhile but perfect 3/4 DE and not many talk about him.

Jesse Williams Alabama- not many talk about him at NT, but is a big kid, gives great effort and is in good condition for his size, very underrated.

Michael Mauti Penn State- having a monster year, was always a big time talent and playing like a really elite outside linebacker this year, great strength and toughness.

DeVonte Holloman South Carolina- safety/linebacker, covers well, has speed in coverage and is a good tackler, could be the ideal coverage linebacker in the NFL.

D.J. Swearinger South Carolina- really good safety, tough, awesome tackler, big hitter, should not sleep on him.




And as for the Tyler Wilson hype, a lot of people like him because they think he is the tough kid, get hit and makes the big through. A home town boy, has a country style to him but a lot will have to do with how Geno Smith and Barkley end their careers. Be interesting how Geno comes back after last week and Barkley, do not see how he has peaked potentially. Some might say Barkley is only good because of the weapons around him, as if Geno Smith or Wilson have no weapons to help them out? If one wants to go with the Jay Cutler type with the production and fight with few weapons around go with Mike Glennon or Ryan Nassib, but very few of those cowboys around, one man show with little help on the line or at receiver. Wilson on Arkansas has more than enough talent around him just like Geno and Matt.

And for the most part Wilson hasn't even had a healthy Gragg or Davis to use

Also, Ryan Nassib? He's a right handed Tebow. Muscle bound, inflexible, terrible throwing mechanics, and frenetic as hell.

If you are talking just draft status potentially yes, if you call draft status talent, but I feel Chris Gragg is better than any tight end on USC right now and will be a higher pick than a 4-6 rounder. Maybe down the road those two will live up to there potential a little more. And the offensive line for Arkansas has a stud in Alvin Bailey who could be a very high pick if you are just talking that as the measuring point. As for the running backs, Dennis Johnson and Wingo have an outside shot at making it on a roster, especially Johnson. But really all of these players will get a shot at the league, and who cares where one is picked, some players can surprise you.

Ask Brian Hartline how important his draft status was, no one cares now that he is crazy successful in the NFL.

So to say Barkley has better talent around him, maybe but then again remember Wilson had three receivers go into the NFL last year, not all super stars but all were good enough for a shot at the league. Lee is big time but not so sure Hamilton might not turn out to be better than Woods.

Again I think a lot of people believe Wilson is this one man show that does it all, but just saying he has NFL potential talent around him like everyone else. Yes he can take a hit and stand in the pocket, but he is starting to develop a nasty fade away packpedal to a lot of his throws.



Then again, really pointless to discuss any of this, according to the ridiculous success for most of the highly drafted rookies in the past two years. Only real one without great production is Blaine Gabbert. The rest are ripping it up, now. Kind of crazy, and are these the best quarterback draft classes ever? No, the rules are just a joke and making being a starting quarterback in the NFL kind of easy...

Buchanan's stock is based a bit off potential...he's productive on the field, not incredibly productive, but given his overall skill set and size, he has the ceiling to be a game changer if he figures it all out

He really is...Hamilton is his only legit target to this point with some nice backs behind him but no one that can put the team on their back, and that's simply not enough to be successful every week in the SEC

I like the list a lot but it depends what the list is ranking. If this is purely based on talent I have to give the nod to OG Chance Warmack. Obviously a lot of people can be given a case that they should be on the list but I think this got almost everyone I have on my top 75 overall list.

Good list, but I still think Barkley is #1. He's not having the greatest senior year, but his stock shouldn't get crushed because of it.
