Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
What are the overall thoughts on this guy? I'm watching the Baylor game now, and I'm intrigued. But I haven't heard his name much around here. Any thoughts on his potential as a NFL receiver? Potential #1, or no better than a #2?

More of a #2. Good down the field speed. Catches the ball cleanly, but still has mental lapses. Struggles A LOT against physical coverage though, especially at the LOS. I have him as a 3rd rounder right now

He's a good addition for a team that wants to add a downfield or slot WR to its top three.
If you want to go three wide, Terrance Williams fits in nicely.

Unless he gets injured, he goes way before the 3rd round.

I could imagine him sliding that far. I like his overall length/athleticism but he will be a 24 year-old rookie with a simple route tree who was able to get substantial cushions from cornerbacks for his entire career. Getting a release at the line of scrimmage is one of the major differences between playing in college and the NFL for a receiver.

Deep threat guy. I could see him sneaking into the late first, early second when people see him in workouts.

Still not sure what I think of him as a prospect but with two games left, he's on pace to hit 2000 yards receiving (19 ypc) in what would be 13 games. Pretty impressive.

Yeah I mean look at Gramps Weeden. Being older makes you MORE mature and more ready for the pro game. Duh.

Thoughts on where he would be selected if the draft was right now? I'm extremely fascinated that Mayock had him rated as his #3 WR, that's much higher than I had expected
