posted in the injury thread, but wanted to discuss it here.
http://espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/story/...kler-placed-ir
Sean Lee placed on IR, going to hurt the cowboys a lot; when I watched cowboys games it seems like he was in on every tackle.

For the Jets/Dolphins game.
Great cause, but I get a little sick of the pink this time every year...

NFL likes to draw attention to itself and to make a bigger splash into the womens market.

If anything, we need more pink in this league. A team needs to adopt pink as their color, here looking at you San Fran.

Yeah I don't think that would mesh well with the entire "gold rush" thing we've had going for quite some time now.

It's not for breast cancer awareness?

I think blue and pink work best. I'm sure the Giants PR department would love the idea.

Let's stay healthy this week. Host Arizona next week and prepare for our division games afters the bye.
No Gabbert might be a blessing for Jax but without MJD, I expect to see Harrell running our offense in the fourth quarter.

Gabbert certainly isn't great, but Henne is just awful. Shockingly, Gabbert is an upgrade. But word is he might play on Sunday.

I've always thought it was over the top, but they really lost me when they started advertising their pink merchandise during game broadcasts on nflshop.com. Just doesn't get any more sleazy than that.

It's definitely PR, but female viewership is at an all-time high and I'm all for anything that makes me less likely to look a jerk when I say "No, tomorrow's the weekend so I'm watching football for 48 hours. We can do weekend stuff in February."

I dont want to get political or anything(please edit/delete this as necessary) but breast cancer aweness sees so much funding while actual research sees a small portion of those funds.
Tomorrow's game is interesting. Two teams that seem to be headed in the right direction who dont really have a bandwagon yet. The Bucs record isnt stellar but Freeman appears to have stepped up, while Ponder is showing at least some of what will hopefully eventually justify his selection in the first round. Two Qbs with very different skillsets though.
Does either of these QBs solidify themselves going into the future? Hopefully they both do.

It's crazy how much time we spend watching football....
I typically watch the Thursday and Friday college games if I can't get the Thursday night NFL game, so there is like 6 hours of football in 2 games before the weekend even starts. Then 3-4 college games on Saturday, 3 games on Sunday, 1 game on Monday...
Lot of football.

The NFL is made up of the biggest penny pinchers in the world. Do you really think they'd produce and put their logo on something they wouldn't see a cent out of? I doubt it.

The league says that 100 percent of the net proceeds are devoted to covering the costs of the league’s “A Crucial Catch” campaign or are donated to the American Cancer Society.
The key words are “net proceeds.” On one hand, it’s technically the profit that the league otherwise realizes. On the other hand, it’s a playground for accounting practices that can make the “net proceeds” whatever the league ultimately wants them to be.
Devoting a portion of the “net proceeds” to “covering the costs” of the “A Crucial Catch” campaign provides another opportunity for the bean counters to move the beans around in ways that reach a predetermined bottom line of beans.
