There's something very LOL about this trade. Belichick, have fun with that piece of crap. Schiano, have fun with E.J. Biggers.

Not surprising, it was doubtful we re-signed him anyways. Our CB situation is horrible though.

Good riddance. He's a free agent at the end of the season and I didn't want the Bucs to re-sign him to begin with.
That idiot has been nothing but a headache on and off the field. He gets torched week-in and week-out... At least when he's not too busy beating up cab drivers, shooting at people and getting suspended for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
I'm surprised that Belichick would want him, but I'm happy the Bucs got something for him.

It's not a big risk for Belichick. If Talib can't get his head straight for 8 games and possibly playoffs for a contender then he will be let go and only lose a draft pick. However the potential rewards for a team desperately in need of CB help by far outweigh any risk

Bout damn time he's no longer Tampas headache. Year after year wondering when he'd make headlines off the field for his stupidity. He was an FA after the season and never was going to be resigned.
Good job Mark Dominik. Pats fans , good luck.

From Twitter: @TBBuccaneers: The trade details: CB Aqib Talib and a 2013 7th-round pick for a 2013 4th-round pick.

It was a gamble to be sure, but a 4th round pick is nothing for the Patriots.

That's true. The Pats are going to trade back like they always do and end up with like 20 picks in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds anyway.

Talib will end up like all the other headcases they have picked up recently.

Headcase or not... our secondary is a disgrace and I'm glad BB is doing something about it. Even if it's a small gamble that will probably not work out.

Even if you watched Talib's play this year, he's vastly overrated. He's been burned every game he's been in. Eric Wright was our best CB even when Talib was on the field. That's pretty sad.

Sometimes a change of scenery is as good as anything else. Talib is a very talented player. If, and it's a big if, the Pats can get him to knuckle down he could be a great addition. Plus the Pats starting CBs as of right now are Alfonzo Dennard and Kyle Arrington. Not tough to upgrade over that although Dennard has looked pretty good at times

Lets just put it this way: Our CBs are
-Wright
- EJ Biggers
- Brandon McDonald
- Leonard Johnson
- Lequan Lewis
As much as I like Leonard Johnsons potential, the rest are all very bad or unknown and inexperienced. There's a reason we got rid of Talib. He had Gruden, Morris, and Schiano and he never knuckled down.

Regardless, I still think he is better than anyone we have in terms of coverage ability. So I'll take it for a forth.
This is a very low risk trade and if it doesn't work out we're pretty much not out much considering we'll just trade down an recoup that pick at some point.
I really like Talib McCourty Dennard as a physical press coverage group.

You think you have issues with Dennard and Arrington?
The Buccaneers will most likely start EJ Biggers and Leonard Johnson for at least the next 4 games because Eric Wright is suspended... And the team still felt it was a good idea to trade Talib away.
That tells you all you really need to know about Talib.

That was my first thought. The Pats haven't had a reclamation project actually work out in a long while.
