Had to look him up because it was actually hilarious to me how he was just sitting there wearing the sunglasses staring at the camera not moving. Pat Schiller, practice squad, which makes it even better

The only thing that will make me feel good about this season is the Falcons having the best record, or even better, going undefeated, then getting embarrassed in the playoffs :(

I think the Falcons will eventually struggle once they start playing better teams. The only good team they have played so far is Denver and that was before Manning really got comfortable. In saying that the only real good team left on their schedule is the Giants when they could already have the 1 seed wrapped up.
However come the playoffs here is where they will struggle
Michael Turner is slow as **** and Quizz can't handle a bigger role
They can't stop the run on 1st down unless they use that 3 DT look which limits their pass rush ability
Dunta Robinson and Asante Samuel can get burned
Despite the Falcons being unbeaten I would pretty comfortably take Green Bay, San Francisco, Chicago and the Giants over them right now. The Georgia Dome gives the Falcons a better chance but right now I don't think they are as good as their record indicates

So it is just my imagination or has Eli been playing really poorly the past few games? I would post stats but those don't mean anything so I won't bother. Outside of the busted coverage on the last-minute touchdown to Cruz I don't remember many other good plays by Eli in recent weeks.

Yeah he hasn't been good. He got bailed out a few times yesterday. The failed 3rd down that he threw at Ike Taylor was horrible but they got another chance because of a horrible call on Smith. Call it a late hit but he wasn't near Cruz's head. I also think it was indicative of his last few weeks that the Giants just could not get a first down for love nor money in the second half.

A lot of my Jacksonville friends were cheering about beating Indianapolis in the last game of the season. I said they were dumb to cheer because it pushed their draft back from 4 to 7 but even worse, it guaranteed the Colts would get Luck. They all said "I always want to win. And anyways, I don't think Luck is anywhere near as good as they are saying." I bet those same fans are wishing they would have thrown that last game away.

yeah, Eli's been off the last 3 weeks, it's weird. I mean, I'm not actually worried long term, but it sucks right now. The total lack of a running game isn't helping.

Wow, you're breaking some new ground there. Everyone was aware of the situation. It was a widely discussed among fans the entire week leading up to the game.

Yes it was, and I couldn't find a single Jags fan (except for myself) who thought "Hey, since we are currently 4-11, maybe a win isn't the best thing right now."

Jerry Jones was locked out of the locker room after the loss. Hahahaha and nobody would let him in. That's hilarious, Cowboys are very poorly run and kinda the laughing stock for that.

They could have thrown the game.....and the Colts would have just gotten RGIII instead.
One way or another, the Colts were coming away with a stud QB last draft.

If the Colts had won they would've gotten the #3 pick and Minny would've gotten the #2.

I was always under the impression that Peyton would be back in Indy if it wasn't for them landing Luck. I didn't see them parting ways and taking the other 2 QB's, but it was just a guess on my part.

I wasn't really around to comment much on Sunday but congrats to the Colts, that game was maddening as a Dolphins fan. We were first in the league in terms of allowing other teams to convert on 3rd down before that game and you guys just tore the secondary apart. The future is definitely bright again in Indy.

They should use this same strategy on draft day

Pretty big drop-off. We would've kept Manning in that situation I think.
