Steelers are 4-3 and could catch a very weakened Baltimore team. At this point the AFC has only Houston. And I'd expect NE and Denver to win their divisions. Pittsburgh and Baltimore should be in the top 6. For my last spot I'm going to go with Miami.
On the NFC, well go with Chicago to get the 1 seed, Atlanta the 2, Giants 3rd, and San Fran 4th. Wildcards go to Green Bay and Detroit.

I'd love to see the Lions sneak in, but I just don't see it. Not with their schedule. They still have the Packers twice, the Texans, the Falcons, and the Bears. They will also struggle at Minnesota and at Arizona. At 3-4 now, they'd have to go (at minimum) 6-3 the rest of the way. I just don't see six wins on the remaining schedule.

I didn't look at schedules, just picked who I thought was the best out of Detroit, Minnesota, Seattle, Arizona, and Philly.

Obvious dominance. Add a trade for Bowe and they could even beat the Ravens...*sigh*...

And the Vikings are finished. Not a chance they get 5 of their last 7 against Detroit, @Chicago, @Green Bay, Chicago, @St. Louis, @Houston, Green Bay.

Pretty big win for Seattle for their playoff chances. They've got sme good head to head tie breakers already to. I hope they can get it done.

I'll give it a midseason update
NFC
1- Falcons
2- Bears
3- 49ers
4- Giants
5- Packers
6- Bucs (my sleeper team)
Just missed: Seahawks, Lions
Vikings and Cardinals are in free fall mode. The only win each team has in the last month or so was when they faced each other, and Minnesota beat Arizona.
AFC
1- Texans
2- Patriots
3- Broncos
4- Ravens
5- Steelers
6- Dolphins
Just missed: Colts, Chargers
Still think MIA is a better overall team than IND, and the Colts may start to struggle as they have more games on the road.

The NFC wild card battle is going to get interesting. Dallas and Washington are falling right now ad Minnesota has yet to play Chicago and Green Bay.

Indy has far and away a better chance to make the playoffs. They have the tiebraker game over the Dolphins, and they have the much better QB. They are on a mission to win for their coach, and their remaining schedule is very favorable other than Houston and New England.

The way the Buc's are playing I can see it happening. While the pass defense is horrible they get turnovers. (Number one against the rush) We only play 3 games against teams with winning records, Atlanta twice and Denver. We have Atlanta in week 17 also so they might be coasting at that point if they lock up home field. Buc's getting 6 more and squeaking in possible.

Don't count Detroit out just yet. Most of their games have been on the road and they have played the toughest SOS so far, facing teams with a .600 winning %. Nobody else comes close to that SOS and they are looking at a lot of home games from here on in.

I think the secondary needs to play a lot better though against opposing quarterbacks. They've allowed a lot of yards through the air. Tie-breakers might pose a problem too down the line, even if the Buccaneers were to go 9-7 or 10-6.

I am not sure about the Tie Breakers, I would like to hear how you think it will play out if the Buc's were in that situation.
I would think it would take 10 wins just to get to a tie breaker the way this year is going in the NFC.

The Colts making the play offs would be awesome to see Luck against a play off teams to see how he can reapply perform. 49ers will make it most of the way into the conference championship game easy.We gotta keep those turn overs down as we are doing so far.

Every AFC division leader won. No NFC division leader won today (3 lost, 1 tie).
Here's how i see things right now
NFC
Top contenders- Falcons, 49ers, Bears, Giants, Packers
Just below: Seahawks, Bucs
Still fighting: Lions, Vikings, Cardinals, Cowboys, Saints
Down and basically out: Eagles, Redskins, Rams, Panthers
AFC
Top contenders- Texans, Ravens, Patriots, Broncos, Steelers
Just below: Colts
Still fighting: Chargers, Dolphins, Bengals
Down and basically out: Bills, Jets, Browns, Jaguars, Titans, Raiders, Chiefs

If the Bucs can get in that's a team no one would want to play. But I think the 1-3 start hurt them.
Their offense is top 3 on the league and doing it without 2 of the best interior offensive lineman in the league right now. That's pretty phenomenal, especially ranking 9th in the league in pass protection.
What I think hurts them though is the secondary. I don't know how they'll hold up against saints broncos and falcons down the stretch but if they go 5-2 on out which is possible, they can sneak in but then again tie breaks can hurt if they finish on par with Dallas or NYG. But hopefully the east beats each other out of a WC spot.
