Denard Robinson got one as well, but I'm going to hold off until we know which position he'll be listed at.

It would be a waste for him to be at QB at the Senior Bowl.

It's a waste to have Denard at the Senior Bowl period IMO.

He isn't a complete waste. He sure as heck isn't a QB, but he will draw interest as an athlete/wr. Teams will be interested to see how he performs at his future position and it will have a major sway on his draft stock.

Hopefully they play Denard at RB. That's his best spot.

Who is Will Davis? Not even on NFL Draft Scout's database!! Planning on watching the La Tech game anyway, but definitely will now to have a pre-Senior Bowl look.

He's a real good player. I watched a few of his games this week, could be a 2nd day pick.

JuCo transfer and first year starter. Saw Tony Pauline thinks he's a 1st rounder...
Watched the La Tech game last night - he had a mixed day.
Decent length - build is similar to Johnthan Banks, but maybe slightly thicker in the legs. Tackles like Banks - not always that physical. Having said that Patton got after him as a blocker in the run game and he didn't back down.
Flashed press man ability - but got himself a little over extended and his feet stopped some, so was beaten off the line and trailing in the route at times.
Better when he was up at the line, but didn't press. Turned and ran with his man smoothly down the field and showed nice quickness to stick with comebacks and out routes. Gets his head turned around very nicely - Patton did catch a deep up on him, he didn't "look and lean". Did break another one up though - left his feet, which perhaps wasn't the best idea but timed it nicely to break up.
Will stay physical with his man throughout the route. Stopped a post-corner route to Patton with that physicallity, but that's a flag at the next level, so will need to change the way he plays. Did get called for pass interference on an up route to Banks - pulled his arm back. Was also beaten on a flea flicker play by Patton, so just grabbed him and got called for holding.
Played some zone as Utah State were in "prevent" late and had two balls caught in front of him - no great break up, not sure they play that much though.
Nice battle with Patton - both won some.
Can't say the CB class has me that excited, so he might push for a top 100 placing. I quite like Wreh-Wilson of UConn and Trufant of Washington - but we'll see how things play out in the post season.

I read that the Senior Bowl might let Fourth year juniors play? Has anyone else heard about this?

They are not. It was an idea floated out there early, never came to fruition.

So glad Tyler Wilson is playing in the Senior Bowl. He's my favorite of the QB group this year and the guy I want the Chiefs to pick if they go QB. It'll be good for him to play in a neutral setting and just unleash what he has. Hopefully he proves me right.

No, I think some of the quarterback classes in Mobile have been very shaky.
That won't be the case this year, assuming the top guys don't opt out.
We already have Wilson and Manuel, then perhaps Barkley, Smith, Glennon and Jones.
That would be the best group of quarterbacks in the decade I've been going to the Senior Bowl.

Yeah, a lot of top QBs have been juniors recently or frankly they've been consensus early picks and had nothing to gain from going to Mobile.
I don't know that Barkley goes, but I'd imagine Smith, Glennon and Jones would. Smith just seems like he really likes to work at being the best QB he can be. If he goes to Mobile, he'll be the #1 pick, IMO. Still may be if he doesn't though. Glennon and Jones could use the work to show they can play in an NFL style offense taking a lot of snaps under center.

This applies just as well to Smith if not more so than Glennon. I think Glennon has the best chance to capitalize on any late season buzz - he seems to have really become a popular prospect and if he shows well at the senior bowl it will help his cause.

Yeah, my point was that Smith has enough of a consistent body of work and a well publicized work ethic to not have as many questions about his ability to play under center.

My point was that Smith operates out of shotgun as much as anyone. I don't think he has a clear distinct advantage over any other prospects. Barkley probably is the best prospect in terms of being pro ready - he played quite a bit under center, has impeccable character and great intangibles.
Like Scott said this really has a chance to be a great Senior Bowl QB Class - Barkley, Wilson, Glennon, Jones, Smith all have a chance to be first round picks and play in the senior bowl. This is the most excited I have been for a senior bowl since I really began following the draft in 2004.
