I have pretty bad anxiety and avoidant personality disorder, but I've worked on fixing it and wouldn't make excuses like Royce would. I get his issues, but I think he's overdoing it.

I cant believe Im saying this but it could be a decent trade for both sides. You may have to throw in Kidd, though to be our back up point :).
How many years are left on that contract? Just this year and next or does he have 2 years after this year?

2 years after this one. Makes 23.4M in 2014-15

Well people assume we are stacking our contracts the way we have to make a run at Lebron in 2014 but i think its the 2015 class we need to be gearing up for so I'd do it.
Kobe expires in 2014
Nash/Amare would expire in 2015
Gives us flexibility to team up Dwight with guys like Love/Rudy Cool/Rondo/Melo/Aldridge/ and I believe Kyrie and Rubio are both free agents also.

Hopefully our teams can reach an agreement. Ridding ourselves of Amar'e would be so, so awesome.
Unless he buys into coming in off the bench...then I like him in that role, PnR with Felton all day. I'd still do it in a second though.

If I knew he would be 100% healthy it'd be easier for me to do it, that'll always be a question with Amare, though.

Saying that Pau is not the #2 option is one thing, but thinking about trading him for AMARE of all people? Come on! Pau is a really, really nice player.

Dwight and Pau is the same as Bynum and Pau. They do not play well together, they both need to be in the paint to operate. Pau is not a stretch 4 at all. Amare can extend a little bit and has proved that he can be successful with Nash in D'Antoni's system.

The problem with trading pay is that his height is pretty hard to replace. If you get someone just as tall then you sacrifice production. I do think Dwight should be more of the focal point of the offense though.
What about a package that includes Al Horford.

Prigoni...
Wow. I'd absolutely love that trade.
And so would Laker fans. Add Prigoni and the Lakers just got better...

Hawks wouldnt part with Horford, they could play him at his natural position if they got Pau. Horford is a 4 now and Pau is now a 5. They would give us Smith, though.

Don't know enough about him to comment.

Keep that giant vagina off my team.

It makes no sense for either team honestly.
Why crowd the interior with Dwight and Stat? Both need to pick and roll. At least Pau can hang out in the perimeter and open up the pick and roll lanes for Dwight.
Stat would just clog them.
And why do we want a giant vagina? We are building a tough defensive unit. We don't need Pau to **** that up.

Pau isn't good on the perimeter, and needs to be in the post to score. So, I guess we have the problem with both of em.

Amare is just as big a ***** as Pau. And he has no knees. And he's under contract for 3 years - Pau 2.
Stat theoretically mixes with the new-look Lakers much better than Pau does. Theoretically because in theory he has knees.
It would also kinda be addition by subtraction for LA - everybody hates Pau.
The Knicks right now are about as gritty and grizzled a group of players as you can find. If any team in the league can sacrifice a little toughness to add a talent like Pau to its frontcourt, it's the Knicks.

The perception that Pau is a poor man's Dirk or a ******* 7 foot guard needs to finally stop.
He's a center that doesn't want to go in the post. He's a **** power forward. When the Lakers won titles, their best lineup was Pau at the 5 and Odom at the 4.

Exactly. Therein lies the inherent Pau Gasol problem.

Honestly I rather gamble on Amare's knees than Pau.
Pau is gonna start, and he's gonna be a *****.
Stat will probably go down for the season at some point and we get to keep our chemistry with the lineup now. I understand we desperately need a 2nd scoring option, but Pau?
Pau?
**** Pau.

If the Knicks somehow find a taker for Amare it's going to be for 50 cents on the dollar with his knees and contract. Pau is probably 1.50 on the dollar, not even sure why this is being discussed.

If we trade for Pau, I want us to parlay him into someone else.
3 team trade? I'm fine with giving up Amare, but I don't want Pau. I hate soft players.
At least when Amare had knees he wasn't a giant vagina like Pau. What's Pau's excuse?
Trade for Pau. Trade Pau for Randolph.
The Gasol brothers reunited.

Memphis is another team I would contact to be honest. But Rudy Cool would be the guy I want, they arent giving up Randolph AND Cool, and they arent going to Bring Randolph or Pau off the bench either.
