Yes. Yes it would.
Tarvaris hasn't even been active since the trade, but I'd still trust him over Thiggy. Fitz is preferred to both, but it's not one of the stronger spots on the team, as it is.

It seems as though certain starting QBs are considered more valuable than normal when this scenario is brought into play.

Im not sure, Joe Webb is extremely athletic, but so raw has a passer. But it might be fun to watch. lol

To be honest, I don't mind that much that Derek Anderson is our backup. Not a guy I'd ever want starting for prolonged amounts of time, but I think he'd be serviceable as a short term solution. That being said, we are so bad already it'd make little difference, at least as far as wins and losses go.

Season high passer rating leading all "starters" would be around 85. Sweet.

Vikings probably would, but they might switch to a straight-up triple option attack, lol.

I think Ryan Mallet could go on a deep playoff run starting for NE.
IMO he's the most talented backup in the league, with props to Kaepernick/Hasselbeck/Kolb/Shaun Hill/Chase Daniel/Yates.

I think it would end up something like this:
NFC North:
1. Chicago- Great defense. Campbell has plenty of starting experience.
2. Detroit- We laugh, but Shaun Hill isn't horrible.
3. Minnesota- They would probably have to run the triple option.
4. Green Bay- Graham Harrell lolz
NFC East:
1. Dallas- Kyle Orton got the Bears to the playoffs a few years back.
2. New York Giants- A veteran team with a QB with starting experience.
3. Philadelphia- Not too much of a dropoff (if any) from Vick to Foles.
4. Washington- They are 4-6 with the second overall pick at QB. Can't see Cousins doing any better.
NFC South:
1. Atlanta- Very talented receivers. You could do worse than McCown.
2. Tampa Bay- Number two by default.
3. Carolina- Derek Anderson and Jimmy Clausen? They'd probably get the #2 pick.
4. New Orleans- This team is Brees. Take him away, they don't win a game.
NFC West:
1. San Francisco- Great Defense. Solid running game. They would be fine.
2. Seattle- I don't know if Flynn is a starter, but they would be decent too.
3. Arizona- This would be the best division. Kolb actually looked decent starting this year.
4. St. Louis- I'm very low on Bradford so I don't think there would be much of a drop off.
AFC North:
1. Pittsburgh- They almost won last night with Leftwich.
2. Cleveland- Colt McCoy has had some success.
3. Baltimore- As long as Cameron feeds it to Rice (doubtful), they oculd win some.
4. Cincinnati- This division would be pretty competitive. The Bengals wouldn't be awful.
AFC East:
1. Miami- Matt Moore looked pretty decent last season. They'd be fine.
2. New York Jets- Tebow Time!!!!!
3. New England- Mallett is a great unknown.
4. Buffalo- The defense is bad. I doubt T-Jack could carry them.
AFC South:
1. Houston- This might be the most talented team in the league. Yates played decently last season.
2. Tennessee- Matt Hasselbeck won a few games this year as a starter. They would be competitive.
3. Jacksonville- Gabbert sucks, but this team has holes everywhere.
4. Indianapolis- We saw what they did last year with a back-up.
AFC West:
1. San Diego- This would be the worst division. The Chargers would win it 4-12.
2. Kansas City- There wouldn't be much of a dropoff from where they are now. Unfrotunately where they are now is Suckville.
3. Oakland- They might do okay until Leinart gets injured. Then it's Pryor time.
4. Denver- You guys saw Hanie last year right? They don't win a game. Would be better with Osweiler.
Playoffs:
Atlanta over Seattle
Dallas over Arizona
Tennessee over San Diego
New York over Cleveland
Chicago over Atlanta
San Francisco over Dallas
Houston over New York
Pittsburgh over Tennessee
San Francisco over Chicago
Houston over Pittsburgh
Houston over San Francisco

Which means they'd be 5th out of 4 in the AFC West!

no, our defense still makes us better than every other team in the division by a wide margin. it might be different if you ever gave the ball to charles.

I have way more confidence in Osweiler than I would in Hanie. The AFC West in general would be terrible. All the teams except the Broncos already suck with their starters.

Something tells me if Chase Daniel gets an opportunity to start he is gonna be good. I like the Titans, Cowboys and Lions situations. Ryan Mallett and Kaepernick would be the most fun to watch and they also have the most potential of any backups. The Jags would be better with Henne starting. The Dolphins would be better too, at least this year and maybe next.
