The Falcons should look at Arrelious Benn.

A lot of Falcons fans will disagree with this, but I really think the Falcons should be keeping an eye on Arrelious Benn. Is he likely to be the best guy for the Falcons at pick 19? Probably not, but he looks likee a very good prospect to me and we don't know what the Falcons will do in free agency. It's possible they could address some defensive needs before the Draft. Adding a playmaking WR is a need. If they don't address it this year it's likely to be a major need next year.

I like Jimmy Graham too. I would be pretty stoked if the Falcons signed a few defensive free agents and then drafted Benn and/or Graham.

Jimmy Graham in the third would be sweet. It's nice to have to best TE of all time to groom those raw rookies.

I like Golden Tate too. I've been studying up a little on Tate and I might like him even better than Benn. The Falcons will have some nice pass catchers to choose from, if they want to go that route. It's not entirely out of the question that Dez Bryant could still be on the board when the Falcons pick.

I think that, if we're going to look WR, we'd be better placed doing so in the 3rd. I think we'd get better value there than at #19.

Well, unless Dez Bryant does slip, in which case value could take over...

Based on what I'm reading, it sounds like the Falcons will not pick a CB or DE in the first round, and feel they can choose from a wide variety of positions with their first rounder. My best guess is that they've targeted Weatherspoon, and would seriously consider an O-lineman or pass catcher if he's off the board.

I liked Benn from what I saw of him a while back. His name has all of a sudden dropped though...does anyone have his numbers from the combine?

I am all for drafting Dez Bryant if he is there at 19 though. He on field talent is top 5 but there seems to be issues concerning his character which could cause him to drop. I don't know if TD will want to take the risk, but according to Boldin, we contacted his agent, showing that we may be in the market for a #2 WR. Our passing offense was supposed to explosive with Ryan, Gonzalez, and White. It didn't help that Turner couldn't get it going, but with Norwood and Douglas hurt, the lack of speed on the offense was apparent.

And for that reason, I might be okay with Golden Tate too, if guys like Spoon and Graham are gone. We have a franchise QB that is going to be with us for another 10 years...loading up on WRs can never be a bad thing (look at Indianapolis).

I would love Bryant if he dropped to us, I just don't see us taking him because of his character issues. If both Graham and Spoon are off the board, I wouldn't have a problem with Golden Tate either. He would excel as a #2 receiver.

I definitely love Dez Bryant. My #2 WR of this class is without a dobut Demaryius Thomas. He might be a late first or early second. I would not mind trading down to get him.
