Mike Bresnahan @Mike_Bresnahan
Why was Pau on the bench the entire 4th quarter? "I was thinking I'd like to win this game. That's the reason," Mike D'Antoni said. #Lakers

Holy shitballs the Wolves look crappy. I know we can still use the injuries excuse but it'd be nice to get some wins with 1/2 of our team's superstars back.

Hard to win when we. Miss layups and they come back and hit threes.

Oh, and Damian Lillard isn't just ROY so far. He's an all star too.

Eh, probably comes down to him vs Dragic. Paul (obviously) and Conley have been better so far in the West.

Even if you think him and Dragic are close (and they admittedly probably are) who the **** wants to watch Goran Dragic in an all star game over one of the most exciting young players in the league right now?

I'm not gonna sit here and pretend like i knew Damian Lillard was gonna be this good, and Thomas Robinson would be contributing next to nothing, but god damn could we catch a break in the draft? Please?
We need to fire Geoff Petrie and nuke the team.

Hey bbd your right! The Knicks do have a much improved, awesome defense like you said. I mean letting Harden and Parsons score 30+ points? Talk about balling.

The Rockets showed the blueprint on beating the Knicks. Right now teams are adjusting to our small lineup and Woodson is gonna have to counter some.
But basically, what killed us was guard penetration. Felton and Kidd are obviously too slow to keep up with fast penetrating guards. They got beat off the dribble all night long and that put Chandler in a difficult position to pick his spots. Then dribble penetration led to easy open 3 pointers as well.
So that is our weakness right now. No defense for dribble penetration from fast guards. Couldn't stop Lin, couldn't stop Harden. They slashed to the basket at will.
And our small lineup lacks rebounding. Asik dominated Chandler and without Chandler owning the paint, our lack of size for rebounding gets exposed as well.
To counter guard penetration, I can see us putting Shump out there on a Guard in the future when he's healthy. We might have to go 2 Bigs in Chandler and Camby (when healthy) in the front court, Melo at the elbow, Shump at G and Felton/Kidd at PG.

Melo has to go to the 3 in that lineup. We need rebounding from the 4 vs those smaller attacking teams.

You're just overreacting. Melo is lightyears better both offensively and defensively at the 4.
