No doubt about that. We have been very lucky to have a guy like Robert McClain step up for us. I couldn't imagine having Owens or Franks on the field for an extended period of time.

Anyone else mad at Mike Smith for electing to kick the field goal this past Sunday? Punting would have made a lot more sense IMO and not allowed them the hail mary shot to the endzone.

Well I like the fact we decided to go with the play to win the game, not survive. Ya we missed it and gave them an opportunity, but if Bryant executes there its game over. Ya hes been a tad shaky as of late but also won us some big games.

Hindsight plays a big factor here, If we would have made the kick would we even be discussing this? Probably not.

This game went exactly how I wanted it to go. I'm so ******* thrilled right now. We beat the Saints and ended Drew Breese's streak as well as intercepting him 5 times. Where are those Saints fans now.

Touchdown wins the game either way. If It was a six point lead turning into a nine point lead, I would have supported the FG choice.

Not to be a debbie downer or anything but does anyone else feel like were the worst 11-1 team to recent memory? Idk if its just me being critical of every single thing or the fact that I look into every aspect of the game b/c its the team I love.

But watching the 49ers play and at times the Packers, Giants. They just do things so well sometimes, ya were good at times too (Mainly parts of the offense are great, the passing game) But just watching the 49er team the just look so complete when the win games.

They can rush the passer with 4, they blitz and get off the field on 3rd down. They run the ball hard yet have a solid passing game.

When I watch us I feel like we have so many holes, Pass blocking, the run game(last night was better yet we abandoned it?) Not converting 3rd downs in big situations. We were up 17-0 and we let them make a game of it. We scored 6 points in the 2nd half against the worst defense in NFL HISTORY.

Pressure was somewhat better last night, but I want to see blitzes, people jumping around, just like the Denver game when we rattled Manning. It seems like we run the same defense on 3rd downs or when we have a comfortable lead. Rush 4, play zone, wide open guy somewhere...It drives me crazy esp when we forced them to 3rd and longs, Its like we play great for 2 downs then we cant execute anything. Yes we got 5 INTs, which is great but alot of those were horrid decisions by Brees.

Am I being too critical and someone who will never be satisfied? Or do others feel this way too?

These teams are not flawless as they seem.

We should have put the Saints away. That really bothers me. We could have easily won by 4 scores.
