Draft Countdown Mafia

The tale of these forums are as old as life itself (if life itself started in 2004). From the highs of Draft Day celebrations and new Moderator announcements to the lows of March Madness Freakouts and attempts to go to the Mecca, this forum has been through a lot. Unfortunately, it is about to be rocked by the ultimate destruction. A number of formerly banned users have been plotting their revenge, some for years now, to complete the ultimate takeover of the Draftcountdown Forums and even the website itself.

The banned users have now hacked the website! They now have the power to execute user accounts and are challenging the current users to find them. They have even hacked into various accounts and are posing as current users! Your job, if you choose to accept it, is to save the website and the forum from the nasty users with a grudge and ban them all!

Their first act was to permanently ban one of the administrators that they deemed the cruelest of them all in Ward. He was immediately killed upon the takeover and discovered by the other users! “Is it another prank?” one said. This was no prank, and the forum mourned over the eternal loss of Ward

How to play

During the day, the objective is to find the culprit of the previous nights' misdeeds. The important thing at the beginning of the game is just to get the discussion going, whether it is by accusing another player, mourning the departed, proclaiming your innocence and whatnot is your choice, but good participation is what makes this game fun. At the end of the day, a lynching is made based on a vote count. It is also possible to vote in favor of a no-lynch day. The day ends once a voting majority or a time limit has been reached.

At nightfall, everyone goes to sleep, though mafia and sometimes other roles with special abilities are required to take action. Mafia meet and elect someone to kill. An investigator, for example, could investigate someone and determine whether he is good or evil. Actions to be taken are to be sent by private message. The night ends once every PM has been received or time limit has been reached.

Every day there will be a special “Sports Challenge.” When the day opens and approx.. time of when the Challenge will start will be posted. Whoever succeeds at this challenge will have a 1 time night kill that night they can use. If they don’t use it though, they lose it!

Rules

1. To make it easier for everyone to follow, votes must be bolded and follow the form vote : Shane.

2. Players can unvote or change their vote anytime using the same form. Before changing votes, please unvote first. ex: unvote : Shane, vote : no-lynch

3. Players are to be lynched once an absolute majority is reached.

4. Night actions will have a 24-hour deadline, but please be faster. There be a maximum of 36 hours for day events.

5. Discussion about the game are forbidden outside of the game thread. I can't always monitor that, but for the sake of fair game, please refrain. Also, please don't edit your posts

6. Mafia can only discuss strategy at night.

7. It is forbidden to quote a private message from the moderator. This results in a modkill.

8. Once you are dead, please refrain from posting information/comments until the game is over. Please do not contact other members either

9. Mod posts will be in green, so don't use that color.

10. You may role reveal AND character reveal. Use this to your advantage, but know that much of the game generation is randomized to throw you off the scent.

11. Each person requires a daily action. If you post in a given “day” period, at least ONE of your posts must contain the specific action of your character. If you fail to post these each day, you will be silenced the next day. If you fail to do this twice, you will be modkilled.

Explanation of Roles


Every role has a:

NAME

NIGHT ACTION

DAY ACTION



For example:

You are a townie! Use your wits to win the game!

Each person requires a daily action. If you post in a given “day” period, at least ONE of your posts must contain the specific action of your character. If you fail to post these each day, you will be silenced the next day. If you fail to do this twice, you will be modkilled.

Each day, you must have one post with a picture of an ugly woman in it(if you post a reply during that day) Oh yeah!


So the information is the following:

NAME=-black

NIGHT ACTION=Townie (this is your typical cop, doctor, etc. will be where you PM me at night your action)

DAY ACTION=Post ugly woman picture (You have to perform this action every "day" of the thread. If you do not, you will be silenced the next. If you fail to do it twice, you will be modkilled. If for some reason you aren't available during a given day (i.e. it ends in 15 minutes, you were never around,) and didn't post, you won't be penalized. This is what dictates your character)


You only have to perform your Day Action ONCE per day, though you CAN do it more.
