Lol...I hate that Leonard Hankerson is buried now. Not sure how bad his injury is supposed to be(I guess pretty bad) but he's more talented then both Garcon and Morgan, by a wide margin too IMO. He at least got to look good for one game before getting hurt.

Yeah it is definitely Dez this year. Not even close to be honest.

I wouldn't say it's not close between him and Cruz. They have pretty similar stats. But Dez has been good this year, and he has been especially beastly the past four games.

Yeah I don't see how you can say it's not even close. That's just silly. Dez has been the best this year, but I certainly would not say he's best receiver.
Especially when you consider how many more opportunities he gets. You've thrown the ball almost a 100 times more than us.

I'll justify my comment then. Prior to today's game (since I don't have it on at the moment) Cruz has more targets (110) than Dez (103) which he turned into 63 catches to Dez's 71. Cruz leads the NFL in drops with 9. So Dez is converting a higher percentage of targets to completions and isn't dropping balls anywhere near the rate of Cruz.
Volume certainly isn't an argument as Cruz has an entire game's more targets than Dez before today's game even kicks off. :P
How about what they do with those catches? Dez averages more yards per completion (13.8 vs 12.4) and has a better YAC average as well (4.01 vs 3.84). Keep in mind Dez gets 100% of his snaps on the outside he doesn't get the immense benefit of playing in the slot with a two-way potential release. Slot guys normally dominate YAC averages due to this.
So to sum up. Dez converts more targets to catches, for more yards on average, and does more damage once the ball is in his grasp. Hence my Dez is clearly the best WR in the division this year.
His last three games are mind boggling. 32 targets - 26 catches (82% catch rate), 388 yards (15 yards/catch), and 5 TDs.

I don't pay too much attention to targets. Just because you're targeted doesn't mean the ball was necessarily catchable in anyway. It's a good stat to use generally but I'm not sure if it applies to this argument.
I will say Dez has been the best though (this year, I wouldn't call him the best in general simply because of consistency). My only argument is it isn't far and away as you said.
But Dez has been absurd lately.

This was my only argument as well. Not saying Cruz is having a clear-cut better season, but it's not like he's not even in the same division, like Trogdor implied.
