There's a reason guys like Crawford stick around the league for so long. You need bench guys that can come in and create points with your second team, regardless of their efficiency. Crawford has been very good at doing that. Not that you don't want guys like Harden or Manu as your 6th, of course you do, but guys like that eventually become starters because of how good and rare they are.

"MVP Candidate" Melo is scoring 2.8 more PPG than Harden on 2.7 more shots, so he's really not that inefficient when you factor how good he is at getting to the line. And you want a guy who can create for others and score efficiently, neither of which Crawful can do.

I don't know why you keep directing the Melo MVP stuff at me when i've never said anything about his candidacy as MVP this season.

As for the second part of your post, you do want that in a player, but it matters less when he's running with your bench unit. You just need points in bunches.
