I'm sure the boosters also wanted Saban. But like Saban Gruden was never going to happen.

Maybe, maybe not. But at least they struck out swinging for the fences. Unlike our AD who struck out swinging in single a ball.

UT wasn't going to hire a coordinator, and after Sunseri and Dooley they definitely weren't going to go the Saban disciple route again.

If they weren't going the Saban disciple route why did they offer Jimbo the job?

Go ahead and post a credible source that says he was ever offered the job.

What is it with coaches and crew-cuts? You're ******* millionaires. Stop getting your hair cut at the mall.

Butch Jones isn't a bad pick at all. At the same time, I don't think any Tennessee fan can be very excited at all given how Jones was ultimately given the job.

You really think the AD that hired Jimbo as the OC/HCIW wouldn't have him on speed dial?

He's the son of a police chief. I don't think he knows that there are other options out there.

If Tech offers the job to Koach Kliff, I am going to vomit.

Also, by the logic of the media (Bielema to Arkansas), the Big East is obviously a vastly superior conference to the Big 12.

Brent is an A&M fan - Kliff Kingsbury is their Offensive coordinator and he just helped Manziel develop and made him into a potential Heisman winner. That's my best guess.
And LOL @ Tubberville for bolting to Cincinnati - that is a step down in the coaching world. Tuberville came across as a pompous prick to me - he probably went to the Big Least conference because he figures he may have a shot at winning the league because it is so bad.

Texas Tech isn't exactly a great job, but to leave it for Cincinnati is pretty weird. Either there is something else deeper or Tuberville just want to go somewhere that he can win at.

I think that incident when he slapped his assistant might have come back to haunt him. But yea the Big East is the path of least resistance in terms of AQ conferences. I think TT is a pretty legit job - Leach was able to get them into the Top 25 perennially it seemed.
