Fisher has never taken an OL in rd 1. I doubt he takes 2. Give the Rams Patterson, Hunter or Williams with their 2nd first rounder.

love jenkins there, but mingo would be tough to pass up on
John Jenkins in 1 and Brandon Jenkins/TJ Mcdonald in 2 would be magical

Highly doubt the Jets take a qb in the first round. Way too many other needs and Sanchez is guaranteed to be on the team in 2013 due to the guaranteed money on his contract.

Werner playing RE (or potentially LE with Williams moving over to RE) would make for a pretty sick dline, but I dont see it at this point with the need for a LB, WR, and most of all QB. Fitzpatrick has done little this year to prove he is anything other than what he is, which is a back up. IMO Wilson is the pick, Nix is pretty forthwright with his intentions, and he has already mention QB plenty in terms of the upcoming draft.
Werner is a guy the fans would love and value wise makes sense, although I do believe the Bills have made significant (Williams in FA, Dareus in the draft, K. Williams contract) investments in the dline, and doubt they would go dline in round 1 at this point. I just think if there is a QB available who fits when they pick, they take him, and in this mock Wilson fits IMO.

I don't think safety is a first round need for us anymore. McCourty has settled in nicely back there and we will bring back Gregory, Wilson, and maybe Chung. A lot of people are down on Reid but I still like him, just don't know if that is a priority. Sam Montgomery would work there.

Hmmm. I like Teo as a prospect a lot. And the Raiders will need a MLB after the safe pick that was lauded by draft experts everywhere (McClain) failed. And Teo is a great player, probably one of the best MLB to come out in a while with incredible leadership, but I have a feeling this is the height if Teo's draft status. When he tests out at the combine, scouts will begin to compare his athleticism with guys like Keuchly, Willis and Urlacher and the luster will begin to wear off.
With all that said I don't like Teo so high. Not with so many dynamic linemen available.

The reason Fisher never took an OL so early is because he had Mike Munchak to handpick OL's and turn them into quality starters. Also, you have to factor in the fact that the team took LT Brad Hopkins the year prior to Fisher being promoted to HC, and Hopkins held down the spot for 13 seasons so there wasn't a big need there. When it came time to replace Hopkins, Munch picked Roos and developed both him and David Stewart into All-Pro tackles. And I'm not exaggerating when I say Munch handpicked players. When asked about the Titans drafting an OL, I've heard Fisher say, "That was a Mike pick."
Guards are a different story, though. Munchak doesn't like taking inside OL's in the 1st, so perhaps that rubbed off on Fisher and they'll pass on Chance Warmack. It isn't against Munch's philosophy to take OT's in the 1st RD though, so if the need is there, you shouldn't be surprised if Fisher takes a LT - especially a Matthews.
[I know you don't take issue with the Matthews pick, but I've seen the "Fisher has never taken an OL in the 1st Round" statement posted in several mocks, and knowing Fisher's history with the Titans, I think it's an inaccurate representation of Fisher's philosophy.]

That was one of the picks I found hard. I will probably go back to my original thinking and flip Reid and Hunter

I have the Rams going with a WR in round 2, I also think they will be right in the Dwayne Bowe sweepstakes.
Fisher knows the value of a quality OL. Matthews fills great need and Warmack is great value there. A good ground game is a great shot in the arm for the Rams offense. But the rams second pick is one I want to look over again.

I think this pick is quite likely.
Teo is the type of player they need to lead their team and help build the kind of attitude their new front office need.
