Adrian Peterson is averaging 3.9 yards per carry AFTER contact this season. That would be good enough for 31st as a total average per rush -- Pro Football Focus (@PFF)

That must be the dumbest stat ever put forward in a MVP discussion. Jesus ******* christ! What the **** does it mean that you don't throw INTs in the fourth quarter when you throw them in the first three? That doesn't take the INTs away god dammit. Manning has 10 INTs, Brady has 3. What do you expect to achieve with this "argument"?

IMO the MVP race standings right now is:

1. Tom Brady
2. JJ Watt
3. Adrian Peterson
4. Peyton Manning

Those are probably the only players worthy of the award this year. Brady is playing at a 2007-level or higher despite not having consistently healthy playmakers and a mix and match offensive line. That's pretty ******* impressive.

Spot on, a int is an int no matter what point in the game. As pointed out above, each pick, no matter the quarter, decreases your chance to win by roughly 20%. They(Broncos) have been better now, but the first half of the year, they were playing catchup the second half because the offense burried itself with turnovers. So I would expect him to have good numbers. They were forced to constantly air it out to get back in the games.

With that said Manning really should be right there with Brady in this race. It will be interesting to see how the big three (including Peterson) get awarded Comeback player, offensive player, and MVP.

This must be the dumbest post I have ever read on here, and that is saying something.
1, to credit JJ Watt and completely overlook Von Miller being just as dominant, if not more dominant than Watt.
2, the award is most valuable. Peyton Manning has turned the Broncos around and made them a force on offense, which greatly helps the defense. Manning changed teams, new players, "new" scheme, and he still has put up amazing numbers and made the Broncos a legit Super Bowl contender after everybody had been laughing at them for playing Tebow.

Peyton isn't playing a new scheme. THat's essentially the same O he ran in Indy.

IMO JJ Watt is having a more dominant season than Von Miller. Both look beast, but for a down Dlineman to be as disruptive as JJ Watt has been off the snap is crazy.

Yeah Miller is a beast in his own right but for the first half of this season I was ready to say Watt should be considered seriously for mvp. He was just absolutely beasting, and even tho the stats wont show it much he still got to Brady pretty frequently the other night.

When talking of relative value then how does that not make sense?.
I was just picking out your example. When your starting QB goes down, you pray to hell you can win 11 games. You simply say they missed the playoffs (before, now it's you not winning the division). You won 11 games. That is an anomaly. You didn't miss the playoffs because Brady went down, but because the AFC had a season with teams of ridiculous records.

Winning 11 games with your backup QB. Sounds like a lot of talent and coaching all around. It'd be amazing if the Vikings could win 11 games with their starting quarterback.

I know, that was years ago. Has no bearing with this Patriots team now. I just didn't like that example.

I think Tom should win it, but I'd like Adrian to.

Peterson. Vikings would have like 2 wins without him.

Another edge for Brady over Mannning: NE has scored like 90 more points than any other team in the NFL this year.
They are a juggernaut.
A steam roller.
And Mr Giselle is the captain of that ship.
Brady, as of right now (3 big games remain), is the #1 QB, edging Manning, with Arod in 3rd.

But Peterson is head & shoulders above all other RBs.... Watt slight edge over Von Miller and Alden Slim Shady Smith.

The Vikings would be 0-13 without Peterson.
Their 7 wins are all because of him.
We've seen NE win 10 games without Brady as Little Bill is God on the sidelines.
Denver made the playoffs, won a playoff game, with a QB last year who can't even get a snap for a horrible Jets offense this year.

Peterson>Brady>Manning

Peterson>Brady>Manning
brilliant logic. "the pats won some games like, 6 years ago without brady, so clearly he's not very important."
