We actually also have some of the fewest possessions in the NBA, so the defensive stats are not skewed.

We've blown a lot of teams out this year. When you blow teams out, you take plays off on defense.
I'm not concerned about the stats when it comes to our defense, I'm more concerned about effort, assignments, and how they mesh together on defense, and our depth when it comes to defense.
And it's all there. Our defense is fine. We play hard defense, we rotate, we play smart, and we have a lot of big man depth on defense so we protect the paint.
Forget the numbers, when we need to amp up the intensity on D we can do it. That's what matters. And we have the pieces and mentality to do it.
We didn't have that before. We have that now.

I agree the defense is fine. We are in no way an elite defensive team though; probably not even good until Shump gets back. Kidd and Felton get roasted versus quick guards.

And that's our weakness on D, I totally agree. Quick guards will roast us all season until we get Shump back.
Luckily for us, we have enough depth and defense in the paint to stop the bleeding. Hopefully once Shump comes back we can limit that.
I'm surprised teams haven't tried running all game long vs us. That to me is the blueprint to beat the Knicks. Run. Run all day long. We're too old and slow to keep up. Just run all day long.
I want to see us go against a team that can do that. The last team to try was Houston and they smoked us.

Funny thing, Kobe actually confirmed that Kwame is one of the best defenders he's ever played with.

On another note, the Kings are back on track with their losing ways.
This team may need to be blown up.

I fully came to terms with that a few weeks ago. At this point i just wanna see Tyreke/Cousins/Thompson/Frisco find success elsewhere. Terrible management, terrible coaching, terrible roster.

Kwame Brown is a legit one on one defender. That's about it.
He's an easy punchline for a lot of fans, but the man has found a job somewhere for the past 12 seasons. Good for him.

Just read a good article about the Dec. 15th trade window and the trade market in general.
Eric Bledsoe is an extremely interesting player who deserves a larger role and is being blocked by all the guards in LA.
PHX needs to blow **** up and Utah is playing well, but they'll likely make a move or two also.

What do you think about Bledsoe as a starting NBA PG? What expectations woud you put on him?

I don't know about starting.
But he deserves to be a true backup with true backup minutes. CP3 plays more minutes than most PGs. And Billups and Crawford make the backcourt there even more crowded. If one of those guys is hot they have to play.
But who knows - maybe he could play like this as a starter? He's improved more than any NBA player I've ever followed. At first he looked like a typical bigshot college recruit who coasted his way to the NBA on talent and instincts alone and would fizzle out after a cup of coffee.
Instead, he's developed himself into a quality NBA player and he's still young. Awesome defense, great energy, decent enough passer, and can score. And it's obvious he's put in tireless hours shooting jumpers.
I love this kid. Because usually the Bryce Brown/Derrick Caracter dudes get recognized by name, but then absolutely suck. Bledsoe did the complete opposite.
He fits perfectly for the Bulls.

I hear a lot of people, even those who are big fans of his fall short of calling him a stud as a starting PG.

An old co-worked of mine used to hoop with Bledsoe and Cousins. Pretty cool.

He has one hand, give him some time goddammit. Otherwise, feel free to take Greg Monroe.

Why no love for Monroe anymore? I thought he was the business this year?

Go on to the Laker boards and you would see a bunch of people contemplating trading Howard for Love because they are so terrified of him possibly leaving. Dwight most likely wouldnt re-sign with them but...
