He's already been mentioned, but I felt really bad for the guy when he ****** his neck up. He looked like a future pro bowler to me.
All-world stud in the SEC for the Bulldogs, then he dropped 20# to play OLB in the NFL. Sucks how things went down for him.

Lavar Arrington is not a good choice. While he list some ability due to frequent injury, the reason he didn't live up to potential was because of what was between the ears.
And please don't turn this into a homerfest. For example, Ryan Mathews does not belong near this list when compared to so many other choices, including guys like Darren McFadden.

How about Terrell Davis? If it wasn't for his migraines would we be talking about one of the greatest RBs to play the game?
Frank Gore looked like a top 5 pick before all the injuries in college caused him to be a third round pick, but he is for another discussion

Frank Gore is kind of different because he completely defined himself as a runner, prior to the knee injuries he was more of a scat/3rd down type.
I'd say in no specific order since i've started following the draft off the top of my head:
*Andy Katzenmoyer
*Dan Morgan
*Courtney Brown
*Tommie Harris

Shawn Andrews count?
Drafted in '04. Made the ProBowl '05, '06, and '07. in 2008 he had a back injury and all his attempted comebacks have failed.

Cowboys signed him recently. Maybe they think they can wait on him. That sounds sore!
Not the best, but Chad Jones, S from LSU was a good prospect.

Forget what? I am a Bengals fan and cringed when they drafted him at #4. His college skills quite simply did not translate to elite or even a very good receiver.

Peter Warrick like Desmond Howard was played out of position.
Those dudes were slot WRs, not wideouts.
If they came out today I think both would have totally different careers.

I'm willing to bet that having Willis McGahee, Clinton Portis, and Najee Davenport as incumbents had more to do with Gore's utilization than did his ability.
But yeah, Gore tore his knees up prior to being draft eligible, so I'm not sure how cleanly he fits. It also didn't derail his career.

Peter Warrick was a stud at FSU. Nobody could cover him in college on short routes and especially deep routes.

Frank Gore's career has not been derailed. He's been one of the best backsin the NFL since 06.
