Awesome punt. Not sure how it wasn't a touchback though considering two guys touched it while parts of their body were in the endzone, but awesome punt nonetheless. Better not show Gene Smith this gif though, he might draft that punter in the first round.

Cracks me up how obvious the Griffin hype was last year. Florence is putting up equal if not better numbers and he gets no national recognition or any hype.

Florence: 276/451(61.2%), 4121 yds, 31 TD, 13 INT, 121 att, 531 yds, 9 TD
RGIII: 291/402(72.4%), 4293 yds, 37 TD, 6 INT, 179 att, 699 yds, 10 TD
Certainly similar, but at the same time RGIII beats him in every category. In addition, everyone knew the system he played in, it was much more than simply stats that won him the Heisman.

I was thinking that.
They said he played in 2009 so he must be draft eligible, right?

Yea - there was a good bit of hype behind him which helped him win the heisman. Florence has played really well this year yet nary a word was said at ESPN or any other major media outlets mentioned Florence at all. They both put up very good numbers - one got praised on a weekly basis and one is probably still an unknown except to the avid college football fan. Point being Griffin had quite a bit of media hype putting up similar numbers while Florence is a real under the radar player.

In college football, the player downing the punt can have his entire body in the endzone. The only thing that matters is that the ball doesn't break the goal line.
The NFL rule is that nothing can cross the goal line.

Yeah, I can't believe people thought Griffin was going to be a productive NFL player.....

I was talking about his Heisman push...not his pro projection. Two totally different things.

Griffin tore up some quality opponents last year though. Florence has the big win over KSU this season but even then Klein put up better numbers in that game.

Not exactly. His production last year was phenomenal. For it to have been a fluke, he would need to have been exposed in the NFL. He wasn't, thus justify the quality of player that he is.
Not to mention that your statement is factually wrong from a statistical point anyway.

Andy Dalton didn't have what some thought was pre-requisite arm strength either.

Can people just accept that Logan Thomas is an awful quarterback, and stop talking about his "potential"?

i hope you're all watching to see how:
A) awesome Rutgers defense is
B) how embarrassingly pathetic Gary Nova is

Ive wanted Dodd all year.... I can't imagine how Dodd would not have led the team to a better record. Nova has held the team back. The Defense is elite and the Offense is packed with great weapons. Nova is terrible.
Why does it seem like I am watching the same Quarterback when watching Rutgers and the Jets?
