Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
Watched 2 games (LSU and UF) game of this guy. I remember Scott and Shane talking about how this guy, at this point in his career, has no issue making a switch from DE to OLB, unlike Von Miller.
Here are some of my observations:
Pros
-Very great tracking skill
-Doesn't miss tackles that often
-great in stunt blitzes (or whatever he does where he runs from outside to the inside to beat the G or C)
Weaknesses
-No sudden first step (he did better in the UF game)
-can get caught in trash
-Doesn't seem to use many skills (e.g. swim, spin, etc.)
I would like to see him becoming stronger and pushing T away. More often than not he bounces off the T and then gets an advantage by rushing to the T weakened side.
Very nice prospect, but I think he's more fitted for OLB than DE. The lack of explosiveness and mediocre motor makes him unsuitable to be a full time DE.
