This is a career defining game for Tony Romo in my eyes. He HAS to win. There's no excuse. I don't want to hear the excuses. This is his career. He has to win this game.

Shouldn't even be a discussion. Peterson is the MVP.

That just isn't true at all. Manning made the receivers better. Manning added four wins. Ponder getting better, the offensive line improving, and the defense not being an embarrassment played a big part in the Vikings being better. Manning deserves it.

I hope he doesn't. My uncle is a Cowboys fan. And I will rub it in his face if the Cowboys lose and Romo stinks it up.

While I agree it's a huge game...this is basically nonsense. He loses this game and the Boys go on to win the SB next year or the year after or whatever and this loss will what "catapulted" him into elite.
His career will be written when he retires...not week 17 vs. the redskins when he's got a good 5-7 years left. This is ESPN sensationalism at it's finest.

I'm in a no win situation personally. Bc if RGIII wins I have to hear about how he's the 2nd coming of John Elway and will own the division for years to come (which could very well become true) and if Romo wins I have to hear it from Cowboys fans in NJ, which typically aren't the sharpest tools in the shed.
I just want to see a good game. I love football and I'm a fan of the game first and foremost. This is gonna be a good game.

And AD obviously had a better season than ED, so who cares about the stupid record. He would have gotten it if they had just given him more carries earlier in the season.

And if they win but lose in the playoffs it also does nothing for his career definition to win this game.

I just looked it up and the last time there was a MVP that wasn't a QB or RB was 1986 Lawrence Taylor.

If he loses today, then it's a trend of failure at the most critical stages of his career. I'm one of the biggest Romo supporters on here and I think most of his criticism is ********, but after awhile, the excuses run out. After awhile, you have to produce.
He's been the qb of this team since 2006, and he has 1 playoff win to show for it. And countless failures in the clutch. This game is important because he's in a contract year, and if he doesn't produce again at the most critical game of the season, Dallas has to take a long hard look at their future with him and whether they want to invest another 5 to 6 years with him under center.
I think I would re-sign him regardless of the outcome of this game, but it's no lock that will happen. That's why this is a career defining game for him in my eyes. It could shape his future.

Packers need one of either Deanglo Williams or Johnathan Stewart.

Meh. People said that about week 17 in 09 vs Philly. Then said he had to win the playoff game because that was his career defining moment, then lost next round and he was still a failure.
If he wins today, people will just say the exact same thing you just said next week, at home vs Seattle.

Thomas and Decker are talented WR's with or without Manning, because Manning can complete a forward pass isn't "making" them better.
Without Manning Denver still has a good OL, great defense, and talented WR's. They are still a playoff team without Manning.
Without Peterson what do the Vikings have? A pick in the top 5 of the draft.

Also in large part Ponder didn't improve, he played terribly. And that defense isn't a valid point either because they havent been great. Plus Denver's wrs are certainly more than capable without Manning. Just a bad argument.

Without Rodgers what do the Packers have? The #1 pick in the draft and a 0-16 record.
