Why Lane Kiffin is still head coach of a major football program I'll never know. Maybe he'd make sense at a smaller program that could benefit from his recruiting ability and would accept his coaching flaws, but USC could do so much better than getting stomped by a bad GT team.

I think at USC the ability to recruit is overrated. They'll attract top prospects naturally. Its not so automatic that you can have a piss-poor recruiter and expect do well, but there's enough there they can get a guy who maybe is not as good of a recruiter but is a much better coach.
