Branden Albert should be moved to OG. I have never watched him play so you know that I know what I'm talking about...

Stellar bowl game for Geno Smith
He isn't even good enough to be a first round pick in the CFL.

I'm not trying to pick sides in this dog fight but he actually could have substituted those two with Russell Okung and Tyron Smith.
As for the QB question just take the best guy to come out of the combine and forgetaboutit. It's not like you're passing on Calvin Johnson or Lawrence Taylor by doing so.

Geno Smith is the definition of a system QB. Nothing separates him from the likes of B.J. Symons or Kliff Kingsbury. His big games came against 2 of the worst defenses in all of college football. The only person who benefits from him going #1 overall is Jamarcus Russell who would then cease to be the worst ever #1 pick as at least he came from a Pro-ish style system and had a big time arm.

Please apply to be the GM of the Chiefs asap. Please.

The Chiefs gave up 40 sacks this year. Your right, there o-line is stellar.
|
The Chiefs offensive line has been good this year. The high sack numbers have more to do with how awful the quarterback play has been than it does the offensive line's play. The weak links on their line, from what I could tell, were left guard and center.

Yeah, and that is because our starting C was lost for the year and we had to move our LG to C (Ryan Lilja) and then plug in a rookie into LG (Jeff Allen). Allen struggled a bit early on, but started to play better as the year went on.

Maybe you can tell us how you really feel about the guy?
I think it's funny that you mention 2 big games. Like he's only had 2 big games this season. Which 2 are you picking?
323 yards 4 tds 1 rush td
411 yards 5 tds
338 yards 3 tds
656 yards 8 tds
268 yards 4 tds
278 yards 1 td
143 yards 1 td
260 yards 3 tds
364 yards 2 tds 1 rush td
320 yards 4 tds
236 yards 2 tds
407 yards 3 tds
I see more like 9 big games.

If it were a QB then I think Geno is the man. He has a good arm, great accuracy, and makes smart decisions.

Same old story on Mike Glennon in the Music City Bowl...
Gets in a rhythm and looks like a Top 10 pick for a while and then before you know it he's throwing off his back foot and into double-coverage. I will say his teammates aren't helping him out much either with drops and fumbles. Glennon is easy to fall in love with based on the physical tools and measurables but there is a huge "Buyer Beware" factor there in my opinion.

yea this is pretty much a microcosm of glennon's season
dropped passes
bad INTs
throwing a 5 yard pass when you have 18 seconds to drive downfield
but he's tall and has an arm! let's kick russell wilson off the team for him!

FUnny how two people can look at a guy and have opposite opinions. I think those are 3 areas in question. WOuld like to see him tuck it and run occasionally too.

The only area where I question Smith is his 'decision making'. IMO, he holds on to the ball way too long and looks for the perfect pass. I don't know how correctable it is but if he can be coached to release the ball quicker, he has a solid chance to be a NFL franchise QB. He has everything else you look for in a QB.

The guy throws lasers with pinpoint accuracy. His real knock is the fact that people say he is a system QB.

Hilarious how people knocked Geno for throwing 2 TDs and no INTs in a snowstorm, but Glennon is somehow going to get a pass after throwing 3 INTs today.

Wait, what?
First minute you're telling the Chiefs to draft Joeckel and the next you're Geno's biggest fan. You like Geno Smith, but still think the Chiefs should take an offensive tackle...

He isn't a system QB, a system QB is a guy who has a noodle for an arm but produces huge stats despite it because he's in a system that tries to hide that fact. Smith has a pro arm and a prospect with a pro arm can move to the pros if he has enough other intangibles no matter what system he plays in at college.

It's his WR's faults, right? Give him Austin and Bailey and he'd have none of these problems...
This is the 1st time I've caught Glennon in live action this year and I'm not very impressed, to say the least.
Geno Smith and Tyler Wilson still sit comfortably atop my QB rankings.
