Greg Knapp fired is like the greatest news ever. If he gets another OC job I'll be shocked.... But he always seems to find away.
That was a wierd hire in the first place. Hue Jackson had his failings, but the offense he installed there wasn't one of them. You'd think they could've brought someone in to work with those pieces, rather than going with Knapp and a whole new system that didn't really fit the players.

McKenzie, coming from Green Bay, wanted a WCO guy. Knapp was brought in because he's always available for obvious reasons. Everyone's always happy when he gets fired.

Bidwill just got done with a press conference basically just said that they will be interviewing Mike McCoy, Andy Reid and Ray Horton for the HC spot as well as others
I hope the Bills land Bruce Arians and find a QB in the draft that he can develop but I can't help but feel like they will end up with Koetter. Lovie would be a good hire for that franchise though.
Bill Cowher to the Browns speculation has never made sense to me... I mean, it makes zero sense for the guy.
How? The owner is from the team he coached before. They have young players who look good on offense. They could make the the move to a 3-4 right now with Taylor being the NT, Jackson ILB, Winn as a DE and Sheard as OLB. Also the 6th pick to help make that move of D.

Bill Cowher resigned in 2006. Haslam brought small share of Steelers in 2008. No connection.

Ppl always say that but seem to forget he beat the team he put together to win that SB.
Right, but with the same players that Dungy kept losing with in Tampa Bay.

The Browns is pretty much always a terrible job, for one. Aside from that, Cowher is a Pittsburgh guy. Why would coaching a team in the rival city appeal to him? And that's not even starting to talk about the division they're in. The Browns have no chance to compete with those teams.
It's like the Cubs job without the money. No real appeal other than if you manage to win, you're that guy that won with that team. But it's such a long-shot, it's simply not worth it due to the surrounding factors.

Jerry Angelo doing what we all thought he wouldn't do. I could see them promoting Dave Toub to save money.
Phil Emery.

Particularly with Peyton, you HAVE to give him a large portion of control over the offense. With Tebow he just couldn't play in any other offense.
Of course he had no choice. The important thing is that he's apparently flexible and skilled enough to pull it off. A lot of coordinators fail at that, preferring to just try to hammer square pegs into round holes.
He's just pissy that he became mostly irrelevant the day they changed the kickoff rules. He was going to be a cap casualty, anyway. No way he gets that $10 million bonus he's scheduled for. I'm pretty sure no one's willing to showcase any more of his drops, bad route running, or falling down on cuts.

Bob Babich is done in the NFL unless Lovie hires him when he gets a job. He was hired because he got Lovie's son a scholarship after Arizona expelled him for theft. He hasn't developed any Linebackers. He inherited two guys who were already pro bowlers. He did fail miserably at being a DC, though.
Someone'll take Mike Tice as a position coach just because guys tend to get jobs when they've been around that long. He's been a terrible OL coach and a really weak coordinator in his time in Chicago, though.
As a run blocking unit, Yes. I agree. Pass blocking was rather impressive at time this season. Knapp was horrible though, he's never been good but he somehow keeps getting jobs. Its really strange. I think Allen rushed to get his staff together last year and just settled for Knapp, simply because he knew him. Whatever, not our problem anymore.
KC - Andy Reid - Reid can turn **** into gold at the QB position doesn't do much for the OL. The Chiefs have a great D and a good OL its something that I think would work well.
Philly - John Gruden - The team is built for Andy Reid's WCO Gruden does many things very similar. Adds a fire, experience to the Eagles and the Eagles provide a team that sticks by their HC something that with his obsession of being a fired football coach has to appeal to him.
Chicago - Mike McCoy - McCoy is the only guy that was left over in the Head Coach search last season. Its about time someone give him a chance. He is very fluid in style. Which can only help.
Browns - Bill O'Brian - O'Brian is a guy that most aren't going to go after due to his price tag from Penn State. But the Browns are desperate. They need to turn things around and this is a proven head coach at the college level and with the biggest scandal in college history still lead this team to a winning record.
San Diego - ??? - I would say Ken Wisenhunt or Bruce Arians but I don't think they take the fired Cardinals coach and it is ultimately going to depend on who is the new GM and his vision of the team.
Buffalo Bills - Mike Zimmer - The Bills D even after the addition of Mario Williams was putrid Zimmer has been a very good DC for several teams its time he got his shot.

I dont think he'd do that to his reputation. He is still worshipped here. And he'll get better job offers if he wants to come back.
But I don't think a 3-4 is a requirement for Cowher. He'd likely let a DC run whatever he wanted.
With the way they announced their plan to give the HC control, it definitely made me think Andy Reid was the person they were targeting.
What i'd like to see for the vacancies:
KC - Andy Reid
CLE - Mike Zimmer/Ray Horton
BUF - Lovie Smith/Bruce Arians
PHI - Chip Kelly
CHI - Mike McCoy
SD - John Gruden
ARI - Ray Horton/Lovie Smith

I would take Andy Reid in KC. I have a lot of respect for him as a coach, and I don't think the Eagles fans realize how good they had it.
To be fair, he was a pretty poor time management guy. Plus do you really want Charles not running the ball 60% of time? I personally wouldn't, but that's just me.

From reading the tea leaves it looks like Buddy Nix will be relieved of GM duties and Bills CEO is supposedly keen on Atlanta Falcons Director of College Scouting David Caldwell who's a Buffalo native.
Caldwell was rommates with Chris Polian and Greg Roman at John Carroll and it would make sense to bring in his former college teammate for an interview with the Bills if he is hired.

Why do people keep insisting that Gruden is going back to coaching? People tried last year an this off season. He is not leaving his cushy job at ESPN. I doubt he returns this year. But keep dreaming I guess.
