I'd love to hire Reid if my team didn't have a franchise QB already, he's already proven he can take a guy beyond round 1 and win games with him. Arizona is just a much better job though if he is interested. All they need is some lineman and a RB for now, Kolb should be ok for at least a year.

The Bears interviewed Saints OC Pete Carmichael today. If he gets hired, I hope he's versatile. I don't think Cutler's playstyle is terribly similar to that of Brees.
Also, it's been reported that if Keith Armstrong gets a HC job, he wants Norv to run his offense. The only team he's been connected to is Chicago. No word on whether Norv's up for it or has even been talked to by Armstrong.

I feel sorry for you if you hire away Carmichael. He was the Saints interim to the interim for the first four games of the year and did very poorly. He's very robotic on the sideline, shows no emotion, and sucks at making any kind of adjustments. He's just not ready to be a HC.

All of the interviews I hear with Ray Horton make me like him a ton.

He wasn't the interim this season. That was Aaron Kromer before Vitt returned.

This. I don't know why people expect him to find a job with all the personnel needed in place already. Unless Rivera gets fired and he interviews for the Carolina job, he's going to need to find players to run the scheme he wants to. Also, Jonathan Stewart did just fine in his scheme. I think some people forget about that and just assume he'll need a small, scat back to play RB.

Blount played for him. I have no doubt he could run it in Cleveland with Richardson if he got that scat back, backup you speak of. Wherever he goes, he's starting from scratch. And I have to imagine he'll have until year 3 before the owner expects to see serious results.

Cardinals officially have requested permission to interview Steelers OC Todd Haley for HC job.

ya no idea what that's about, some brilliant attempt to trick the system by making him HC but really he is just the OC for Horton

What is Arizona doing? They fire the only coach to ever take them to the Super Bowl and keep insulting a perfect in-house candidate by interviewing increasingly poor candidates.

They may be trying to get cute pay the DC as much as a HC get them dual control. Dangerous games.

If Scott Pioli is fired, and Tom Heckert is hired, the Chiefs won their search. Being aggressive and acting before the carousel got spinning and reuniting those two is a great response to a disastrous season. Reid has a track record. Heckert hasn’t gotten enough credit for infusing the Browns with promising talent. That’s a great, proven partnership. As downright rotten as the Chiefs were this season, I still like their pieces and the prospects of that job.
Granted, their quarterback situation is dire. But Reid is a reputable developer that will have the pupil of his choice. Charles is just electric. Bowe might be convinced to extend his career at Arrowhead and the offensive line is solid. The back seven is spotted with genuine talent. After an off-season of targeting receiving weapons and defensive linemen, I think this team bounces back. The AFC is far from an unbreakable juggernaut. I think that was a huge factor in Reid’s decision to commit to the Chiefs.

Per LaCanfora Reid canceled trips to SD and AZ and a deal with KC should be finalized by end of day

Chiefs wasted little time getting their search done. Interested to see who Reid brings along with him/how he builds his staff.

Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Kansas City Chiefs!! I sure as heck did not want Andy Reid in the NFC West. It is already a minefield and he would have rebuilt the Cardinals sooner than later.
Let all Rams fans hope in this New Year of hope that the Cards hire Mr. Haley. Somehow I think they both deserve themselves.
No truth to the rumor that Reid and Crennel had a ribs eating contest with the winner scoring the HC gig......
