DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
I'm sure there have been threads about him, but he absolutely tore it up yesterday against LSU. Where would he go in 2013?

If he comes out as expected Hopkins is going to be one of the first wideouts off the board, perhaps in Round 1. There is going to be a group of half a dozen wide receivers jockeying for draft position after Cal's Keenan Allen and Hopkins is definitely one of them.

I was the first to talk about Hopkins going in the First Round this year, he was on my underrated thread list I posted before the season started. Hopkins reminds me of a cross between Sidney Rice & Randy Moss just a shorter version.

The Rice comparison isn't bad.

If AJ Jenkins can be taken in the 1st, Hopkins sure as hell can.

Reminds me of Torrey Smith. Similar frames, both exploded during their junior years, dreads lol.
Smith is a little faster and Hopkins is a little more well rounded at this stage of his career and thegreatone is spot on with that Aj Jenkins comment. He could go as high as 20 now to the Bears who need someone opposite Brandon Marshall.

I don't think they're giving up on Alshon after one year.
As for comparisons, personally I see Roddy White.

Are the Bears getting a new QB? Because Jay Cutler doesn't throw you the ball unless your name is Brandon Marshall. It really doesn't matter who the other recievers are.

Yeah, you don't know what you are talking about. Jeffery had 48 targets in 9 games. 5.3 per game. Projected over a full season that's 85 targets, pretty decent number for a #2 WR, especially one playing opposite of one of the top 3 WRs in the league.

Brandon Marshal isn't a top 3 receiver in the league...

Name 3 better? Statistically, only Calvin Johnson was better this year.

He's the 3rd or 4th best WR in the league. Calvin, AJ Green, and possibly Julio Jones are the only ones better.

2012 Larry Fitzgerald? Pre-empting the obligatory 'he didnt have a QB' comment by pointing out he had the same awful QB situation in 2011.

Seems like Fitz is getting the "body of work" nod over Marshall, but then you can't put AJ Green over him too based on that criteria.

LOL, brilliant response. I applaud you, sir. I'll wager any amount of money that Brandon Marshal has a better year than Larry Fitzgerald next season.

Better statistically, yes. That doesn't mean he is a better player.

Hopkins is quickly becoming one of my favorite prospects. I like the Roddy comparison

It's not always the QB. The o-line plays a huge factor.
Bad o-line + mediocre QB = disaster
Decent o-line + mediocre QB = respectable stats

Yes he has, hoping Boyd declares as well since his stock will be high after the bowl game and all of his weapons outside of Watkins will be gone.

Come on man, use your brain. If you want to say Marshall isn't the 3rd best WR in the league that's fine, but don't act like its ridiculous. He was awesome this year with absolutely no other WR to take pressure away.
