The encouraging thing for Jones is that Marcus McNeil had a similar situation and played at a high level for decent amount of years, but then Jarvis Jones isn't a 300 lb offensive lineman. I'm no back expert, but i'd guess that the heavier the player the harder it would be to overcome. I really don't think it will drop him down too far. Even if you can get only 6 years out of him playing at a high level, it would be worth spending a first round pick on, IMO.

Not surprised he's coming out from what people have been saying back there. He needs to bulk up a bit but he's a solid tackle. He was 3 time all big east for whatever that's worth.
The depth on the offensive line keeps growing. If DJ Fluker declares and Lewan of course this group could be stellar.
At first glance the offensive and defensive lines are the strength of this draft.

I've read that LSU is basically about to lose every Junior that is up for the draft. Spencer Ware is gone, Bennie Logan is up next and of course Mingo & Montgomery.

Another from LSU! CB Tharold Simon. I gather this is a bit of a surprise. From what I read he has good measurables, but can anyone enlighten me on his play?
Florida TE Jordan Read has also declared.
Where do these guys project?
I can't post the links.

Not that it matters but isn't Montgomery a senior?

I'd expect both to get taken on day 2 somewhere. Maybe early day 3 if they don't put up good numbers at the combine.

I don't think the weight is as important as is the frequency of contact. I would think OLB would be getting contact like an OLineman about 3/4 to 2/3 as much. Still, McNeill had a decent career, but the word was that he may only play 8 years due to the condition. He made it 6. I'm sure every case is different though.

I think it's a mistake for Jamison. I see him going 4th round.

Off-field issues aside, from a pure talent perspective, Dyer would be hands down the best RB in this class with no elite prospects at the position, so it matters big time. Hoping he declares and the Jets get him personally, he'd be a steal whatever round he goes.

I think that's a huge stretch. Dyer is very good but even if he was clean character-wise I don't think he would have been a sure-fire Top 100 pick. At best he would be battling for one of the top spots in this year's running back rankings, but as the situation stands he's nothing more than a potential late rounder of priority free agent in my humble opinion.

Aaron Colvin, Tony Jefferson, Trey Millard, and Kenny Stills will probably all declare from Oklahoma.
