I'm not worried about Felton. I think we got him for a steal. The production he gives us far exceeds the resources we had to invest into him.
|
He's a career 41% shooter. He takes WAY too many shots. He's just not good. Not really sure how you can dispute that when his entire career backs up that argument.

I mentioned that the % won't go up. It is what it is. He is decent from 3 though. He is a very solid creator on offense though and knows how to run this Knicks team pretty well. We score a lot better when he's on the floor. He is also pretty neutral defensively; definitely not a liability. He's far from terrible.

I was directing the percentage toward BBD, who seems to think it will improve a bit. Meh, I wouldn't consider him to be that good defensively and the fact that he takes a lot of dumb shots and misses them is also a negative impact created by him that people like to forget about.
If terrible is too strong a word for you then I would say he's just not good.

For what we paid to get him, and what our options were at PG in the offseason, I don't see how you can't be pleased with how that position has turned out this year.
Sure, having Lin was probably our best case scenario but for that pricetag it was questionable.
We are getting great production from PG this year at a bargain of a price. What's the problem?
Felton has easily exceeded expectations so far this year. Even if you don't like him as a player I don't see how you can dispute his contributions to the team.

Perimeter defense is a liability right now but with 2 big lineup that Woodson is using more of with Chandler and Camby, coupled with Shump's eventual return I think we'll be ok there.
|
How is defense a liability anywhere when you have the best defensive mind in the league as your coach?

No he hasn't, he's playing poorly. What don't you understand about that? He's done almost nothing outside of some average ball distribution. His below average defense and terrible shot selection offset anything he brings to the table. He's more a detriment to a team than a positive, which is why I don't really care about the price we got him for.
Not saying Lin would have been worth the price tag but Felton is not the solution by any means.

Forenci, I honestly feel like you haven't seen enough of the Knicks being in SC. Felton has brought a lot to the table and the team looks much better on offense when he is on the floor. I'm not saying some of your points aren't valid, they are, but Felton has absolutely been good for us and makes the team better.

That's simply not true at all. Your letting your bias and dislike of Felton get in the way of properly evaluating him.

Felton's shooting numbers are bad but he runs the team pretty well. With that being said, you could do better than him but you could also do much worse.

Looking at his tweets, did he really call himself a humanitarian? I am now convinced that he is a self-righteous egotist that is just trying to increase his "popularity". Humanitarian? What a ******* joke...
You should tweet him that a humanitarian wouldn't be trying to get his family doctor a cushy job over professionals that are vastly more qualified.

The Wolves are about to play in OKC with Rubio and Shved as the only active guards on the roster. This probably won't be embarrassing or anything.
Edit- I forgot Ridnour. But Rubio is still on a minutes restriction...

That just gives us more Rubio time. So I don't see how that's a bad thing.

He still can't play big minutes, which means it's more Lazar Heyward time. Which is a bad thing.

Lol, it's still hilarious to me when I see Steve Nash run in a circle and shoot a fade away jumper and make it.

Uhh, no. I'm just an objective fan when it comes to the Knicks. He's a below average player that really isn't that good.

I've seen a lot of Knicks games actually. It's not hard to stream them. Felton really isn't that good. I won't say he hurts the team but trying to say he's been really good for us like BBD seems to think is silly.

The Kings actually have 2 of the 5 longest sellout streaks in the history of the NBA. One streak started the moment they hit town in 1986 and going through 1997-1998 season. They almost immediately started another streak after that ended in 2007.
Sacramento is a basketball town. The Maloofs have **** on the fans for the last 7 years, to the point the Maloofs actually had to write a 100K check to every player on the roster at the end of the season a couple years ago just to meet the salary floor. They came in and cried tears of joy when the arena deal was struck and then nixed the $500 million deal while squabbling over $1.65m in pre-development costs.
