I gotta agree with FUN here. I'd argue that he was the best all-around OT in the league this year. With Peters and Long out of the picture, Silverback was in the elite tier as a pass blocker this year and was pretty easily the best run blocking LT in the league.

I don't think there's really a case that Doug Martin was 'more' deserving. Maybe deserving to an extent, but Morris was the NFL's 2nd leading rusher and ran for the 2nd most TDs.
I don't know how you can say Doug Martin carried the Bucs when Josh Freeman threw for over 4K and 27 TDs.
It's really hard for a voter to ignore 1600+ yards rushing and choose a 1400+yard RB a slot above him.

I'm not saying he should have made it over Morris or whatever, but just comparing the yardage is unfair to Martin who is such a huge threat in the passing game - an area (scheme or not) that Morris didn't really have much of an impact.

It's not hard when they know what they're doing, but they don't. Martin was clearly better.

Might wanna check the definition of the word 'clearly'.
Martin had only 5 games all season where he broke the century mark, and for the first 6 games of the season he was nearly nonexistent, with only one game over 90 yards.

Metsox isn't comparing their first six games so choosing to isolate them is kind of irrelevant.

Haha. If you watched games defenses had 8 in the box and freeman sucked to do anything through te air the first 4 weeks. Martin was creating room on his own behind a patch work interior oline. Running behind Ted Larsen Jamal Meredith and Jeremy Zuttah who switched from c to g.

I'm pretty sure Alfred Morris wrecked Doug Martin in yards after contact, so this offensive line excuse **** should stop.
EDIT: Okay, Doug Martin beat him by 5. Shows what I know.

None of these guys are CJ Spiller so really who cares?
The only guy with an argument to be ahead of him is obviously Tashard Choice.

You're discrediting Martin here a little bit. About a quarter of the league wishes they got that production from the RB position.

I never said a negative thing about Martin, I just don't get where someone could look at both RB's rookie production and say that Doug Martin was 'clearly' better and more deserving.
If pass catches are going to be rated that highly, then Martin should have made All Pro over Marshawn Lynch too.
