People don't believe him for numerous reasons. He hid behind stipulations he forced ESPN to adhere to in order to be interviewed and he is a ADMITTED LIAR. Why the hell would we believe someone who blatantly lied in an outrageous manner?
If you call that coming forward, so be it. But he's a coward. And coward is not a word a use lightly. It has everything to do with moral corruption in sports. Fans of Te'o and supporters of him will overlook dozens of inconsistencies in his stories to support him. That's not right.
