Of course, I feel like I might be able to say that about a bunch of teams. I'm like Jon Gruden when it comes to hockey. "Now I like this guy a lot..."
That's why I find it so hard to get into fantasy hockey. I feel like I would need a really deep league to test myself, because in my mind all of those guys are just obviously good. I need the deep sleepers.

It was just a free ESPN public league, the team named "ST. LOUIS Blues" took Tarasenko #2 overall, so it was a gonger. Got Giroux at #9. I love my goalies. I waited big time on defense so I got to fill out the offense and goaltending first, assuming I could nab some solid D late. I got Spezza at a great value, and you can't pass up a guy who probably drops some of the nastiest saucer passes in the world. Dude is a straight playmaker.
I want to start a deep league like that (maybe even a dynasty), but it's tough to get enough people to stay committed and I think sometimes that requires paying money. But they do have LeagueSafe now, so online fantasy $ leagues are getting bigger.

Deep dynasty league would be awesome, but pretty difficult. I'd like to know the people I'd be doing something like that with, and I just don't think I know enough people (here or for reals) that would be really into it.

Thomas Vanek is just... man. Beauty of a no look pass on the 3rd goal. Him and Pominville are just a beautiful pair of wingers. That line is all we have going, though. Vanek's been out there for every one of our goals this year.

Wow exactly one year ago today, Bergs scored a penalty shot goal lol
Blues have looked really good, besides the first 2 periods at Chicago where it was their 3rd game in 4 nights. And even that game the blues finished strong and nearly tied the score in the 3rd period.
But ive seen this before. Playoffs, blues goalies usually are cursed.

Matt Duchene with an amazing goal to wrap things up against the Blue Jackets, EJ dominated and Varly gets the shutout. If McGinn ever starts hitting the back of the net and we deal with O'Reilly, the Avs could not be terrible this year!

Wings fans, how would you feel about trading some of our forwards for a second/third pair defenseman. Do you think guys like Cleary, Miller, Abdelkader, Mursak, and Emmerton have any trade value? We're obviously stocked with nhl ready bottom 6 forwards, and we have Nyquist, Tatar, Sheahan, and Andersson doing serious damage in Grand Rapids.
I know defenseman are way more valuable than bottom 6 forwards, but the Devils come to mind as a trading partner. I'm sure they would be willing to part with Tallinder or Harrold.

One thing I love about hockey season is just how extremely bipolar the Avs board on HF gets. When we lose to SJ the season will be over again, we'll need to let Radar rot and tank for Seth Jones.

I've forgotten how awesome the hfboard is. After the first 2 games, a Hawks fan made a thread about how unstoppable they will be with all the offensive weapons. Because, you know, we really changed our personnel a lot in the offseason from last year, when we were stoppable...

Xio (or any Wings fan), let me know what you guys think of Jonas Brodin. Making his NHL debut tonight. I'm loving what I see so far, but of course I'm probably biased.

Wild just can't finish right now, and have gotten some shoddy goaltending from Harding tonight.

Must be nice to play on a line with Datsyuk. Dude opens up the ice for his teammates like no other.
