Laker fans should have stormed the court.

Are there even fans at the game? Its always so quiet...Jack should have ran out there with Denzel and Adam Sandler, roll out the red carpet. People would have followed just to be seen next to them.

I was thinking the same thing. I actually kept forgetting is was a close game because the crowd was so uninvolved.

The real fans sit in the nosebleeds because they are the only seats they can afford.

JJ Redick is 5/5 on 3 Pointers and the first quarter is barely over halfway done.. hopefully Drummond chokes him.

Lakers and Dodgers crowd is very different. Although I still feel like people overreacted to that whole situation. It was bad that he got put into a coma, but he was also a total idiot for getting himself into that situation.

Big win. We needed that. Still hate the ball movement but its a work in progress. Felton will clean that up.

Yeah because thats what you want of the 10th pick in the draft.. you better hope he turns into a better overall PG, I understand what your saying but overall thats bad value. Alot of the players drafted after him are future starters..

And there are players who were picked before him that look like they shouldn't even sniff the court. What's your point?
The NBA draft is a complete crap shoot, there are far worse things to happen then to get a JJ Reddick-esque player at the #10 pick.

Bynum said to come back before the All-Star game.
God, I hope we trade him before the Trade Deadline, even though I know we won't :/

Nothing wrong with JJ Redick as the 10th pick. I don't think Jimmer is ever going to be as good as him, but if they re-did the 2006 draft JJ wouldn't go any lower than 10th.

I agree with what you are saying. There are very few players who carve out roles like Reddick. And yet I know where TNF06 is coming from also. While Reddick may be a top 10 talent from his draft, you alseays shoot for more than that in a lottery pick. That's why you have guys like Biyombo and Anthony Randolph go in the lottery. This is a superstar league. You want superstars, not role players. A guy like Drummond or Irving can change a franchise.

You obviously don't draft with the intent of settling for a role player, i know that. It's based on ceiling, but it's pretty easy to tell when someone isn't gonna hit that ceiling that you first imagined and you settle for something less. Jimmer isn't gonna be an amazing go-to player because he just doesn't have the athletic ability to create for himself a lot of the time, but any little opening and he can shoot it in your face. He creates really good floor spacing as his man always has to stay close to him. If he can just slightly improve his pathetic defense, he will be a very solid starter for us.

I think Stan Van Gundy ruined Reddick's career by not giving him much of a chance. Same thing happened with Derrick Wiliams with Adelman last year. It's hard to do much when you're not given consistent minutes. You let them work through their growing pains and gain experience.
Waiters and Beal are on the right track because they're given consistent minutes even though they've struggled earlier in the season.

The 2006 draft also looks pretty awful in hindsight. Reddick could be argued as a top 5 pick in that draft, but easily top 10.
So ya, if you have a similar talent pool, getting a Reddick-type talent at 10 would be great.
