I could deal with Elam to the Pats.

wouldn't mind that patriots pick but I think they would learn more towards corner or a DL

Haven't made up my mind on Mingo yet. Not my top pick, but if he rocks the combine, I guess I can get behind it.

I badly want defense for Detroit, but I could never fault them for taking Joeckel.
The Patterson pick is creative, but a little too much.

Not sure where Ansah would fit in with the Jets, they drafted two defensive in Wilkerson and Coples and i dont think Ansah can okay OLB

Excellent Colts pick. I could really see this happening if OL is addressed in FA. If OL isn't addressed I would rather have Cooper there. But both would be good picks. Nice mock.

This is why I love armchair GMing. Opposing views.
Sheldon Richardson is my favorite 3-4 DE prospect and Ezekiel Ansah is my favorite 3-4 OLB prospect.

Sheldon Richardson does not make sense for our defense now that we have decided to switch to a 3-4. Barkevious Mingo is a better fit.

You may see it that way, and that is fine. Here's the issue. Even if you see Richardson playing the 5-technique, the Saints already have two players to fulfill that role. Akiem Hicks and Cameron Jordan are both 5-techs so Richardson would be a case of the rich getting richer while ignoring the opportunity to add a dynamic pass-rushing OLB like Mingo. It makes little sense.

Saints have Bunkley we won't take a NT. Mingo, Montgomery, or Okafor would be more realistic.

I agree. The post said he wouldn't work in the Saints new 3-4. That's not the same as not being needed.
