It's getting harder and harder to take you seriously, haha.

He's a goddamn 4-3 inside linebacker, those aren't going to make a difference between a playoff team and a Super Bowl contender in 2013.

Not true. It seems pretty clear that the lovers who will never distrust him and maintain he is 100% a victim still seem to care, too.
They'll probably say idiotic things along the way, too. They might, perhaps, attribute any potential slide to others rather than to Manti. I say we seek out and destroy all these "loosers" before they ruin our society.

Um, you do realize that the SB features the best ILB duo in the league and a HOF ILB who is arguably the best ever at his position right?
And in a league that is starting to see more spread option and prolific TEs as mismatches having a good linebacker is pretty darn important.

Depends on which teams drafts him. Prior to this mess, he was clearly in the running as a top 5 pick, you put him on NE, Baltimore, Atlanta, NO, Denver or the Giants and he could have a very serious impact on the eventual team that wins the SB.
I guarantee you Ray Lewis, Willis and Bowman, all ILBers on SB teams this year, will impact the game and if I'm a betting man, one of those teams will grab him up if he falls that far. Worse, yet, he will now play with a real chip on his shoulder and set out to prove everybody wrong.

-Ray Lewis is average at best right now, and he's hardly the reason they've gotten this far
-Te'o will never be as good as Willis or Bowman, and they are surrounded with incredible talent (Justin and Aldon Smith namely)

Im not saying Te'o will be any good. I personally think he'll be average so no argument there.
But the value of ILB is understated. ILBs cover the middle of the field, they are your predominant tackler on defense, they cover underneath routes which are becoming more of a mismatch bc of speed backs out of the backfield, he's gonna be your primary defense vs the read option which is growing more prevalent in the league, and he's your primary defender of TEs down the seam in Tampa 2 coverage.
ILB is pretty damn important. SF's defense is amazing bc they have the 2 best ILBs in the game playing next to each other. They can stop the run with 7 bc of those 2 leaving them less vulnerable to deep PA pass on 1st and 2nd down, and they have incredible range which takes away the middle of the field and underneath routes which is predominant with the proliferation of the spread offense.
ILB is a very important position. It's value in the draft is debatable, but let's not claim that it's a position of no impact. Bc that's far from the truth.

I'm glad you can predict the future, I don't pretend to. He's a top talent who will get drafted far later in round 1 than he should have and go to a team where he will likely find himself surrounded by talent. My guess, he will come to camp with a real chip on his shoulder with something to prove and could dominate right out of the box.
I know this, every GM drafting later in round 1 is praying Te'o is there when it's their pick, they will happily snap him up and view the whole mess as just a tremendously lucky occurrencee for their team.

Hahaha! I almost quoted a the last 2 or 3 to point that out. Then I remembered it's futile to argue with zealots.

At least we are back discussing Te'o as a football player and forgeting all the crap that other people have been focusing on.

I didn't even think he was a first rounder before this. I think that was all based on people thinking he had the ZOMGINTANGIBLEZ rather than his actual play.
I know I don't really want him in the middle for the Bears. Need someone who can cover those TEs in the middle of the field.
I do love how you immediately go from saying that you don't pretend to predict his future right into...well, predicting his future.

Can someone explain to me why this fool was ever a top rated LB?
What does he do that makes him great?
I feel like he is just an avg LB who is living off HS hype and right place right time. I don't even know why he was a Heisman candidate.

Cause he faked the death of his girlfriend.
As silly as that sounds, that's why people are so mad at him.
