Wings are right back to being ****. 0 for 6 on the power play after two periods with only 5 shots. That includes a 45 second 5 on 3.

Blues making things happen from the point. Definitely back Jackman's little celebration.

sharks are playing awesome right now, but the post bailed them out more than a couple times tonight. the marleau-thornton-pavs line is just dominate. happy to see desjardins have the balls to go with bieksa after bieksa just demolished gomez with about 4 mins left and had been headhunting all night.

Going to the box, cause Seth Jones rocks!
Avs are going to set the single season PIM record in a shortened season. Avs should just shut Landy down for the year, tell Radar to stay at home, keep Jones from going to his AA meetings, let McGinn keep aiming for the posts, and make sure that under no circumstances do we have more than one competent dman in front of Varly. No one will be able to stop our tank then!

Another wonderful second period for the Pens. If I'm remembering everything, they're getting out scored like 11-2 in the 2nd this year.

Thornton-Marleau-Pavelski line has 15 goals in 16 periods.

Went to the Wild game tonight, was pretty fun. Felt like we got some weak calls against us, and I'm still not so sure if that was the right call when they overturned our goal. Quite a fun game though.
Also, Granlund has DEFINITELY looked like a rookie this year. Dude needs to get much stronger.

Thank you, Kessel.
It’s what Bruins fans chant whenever the Maple Leafs go to Boston. They are thankful the ever-impatient Toronto organization in 2009 traded two first rounders and a second for Phil Kessel. Those first rounders turned into studly centre Tyler Seguin and Dougie Hamilton, a top blueline prospect.
When you go back over the Leafs’ recent history, had just a few moves been done differently — and more young players held onto — a radically different starting lineup for the Leafs emerges.
Bruins fans might also be thankful the ever-impatient Toronto organization, having determined Ed Belfour was no longer welcome in Blue and White in 2006, traded prospect goalie Tuukka Rask to Boston for Andrew Raycroft. The Leafs play Boston Saturday.
Even San Jose Sharks fans can be grateful the ever-impatient Toronto organization — having determined in 2007 that Raycroft wasn’t the answer, either — traded a first-round pick for Vesa Toskala. The Sharks, flipping that pick, ended up with Logan Couture.
“What would the Leafs look like with Tuukka Rask, Logan Couture, Tyler Seguin and Dougie Hamilton?” says Craig Button, a former NHL general manager and now an analyst for TSN. “You’d have a No. 1 and No. 2 centre, a top-3 defenceman and a No. 1 goalie.”
Imagine, everything the Leafs are looking for today, they could have had by now, simply by being patient. Seguin at centre, with Nazem Kadri and Joffrey Lupul on the wings, a blueline built around youngsters Jake Gardiner, Dougie Hamilton and Morgan Rielly, all protecting Rask.
lol.

Andrew Raycroft is one of my favorite trades. Never recovered from post-lockout hockey.
It's cool, though. Pogge > Rask, anyway.

That was the dumbest trade made. Canada won that WJ with Pogge, but Rask was named best goalie of the tournament. JFJ!
Every team makes mistakes and I know that no matter what that trade will always be talked about, but there's no way the Leafs trade up for Couture back then. The Sharks and Leafs were in two different situations with one being a contender every year and could risk giving up picks, especially ones acquired, and getting an impact player like Couture. Similar to the Falcons getting Julio Jones, I guess. Plus, Toskala looked good in SJ, we thought we were solving our goaltending issues, sucks it didn't turn out but **** happens.

Avs out play Vancouver for a period, have a goal cleared out of the crease by the butt of Loungo's stick as he turned around to try and find the puck, and are losing on one of the softest goals you'll see, all because our team has no ******* clue how to get the puck from one zone to another and there was no forward near the point. *sigh* WHY JOE SACCO, WHYYYYY!?

It makes me so sad. Unless Roy just starts showing up at games and practices and coaching the team without anyone's permission we'll never have a real coach.

Might not have been doing a whole lot at the NHL level, but stil interesting to see Boychuk claimed by the Pens. Take that, Checkers!
Now how long until Hines starts talking about his potential on the top-6?

maple leafs claimed mclaren from the sharks. good for frazer to get out of this organization, he has a lot better chance at furthering his career now. 6 pts in 23 games a couple years ago, nice project for toronto to take on and sharks get even weaker now.

Going to the Bruins game tonight. There will be many fights and I will drink many beers. Someone will take a run at Lucic.

Granlund does need to get stronger but I think he'll be fine, he's jumped a few levels in a really short period of time.
Brodin on the other hand, has been pretty awesome.
