I don't see T-Mac being any more efficient than that, unless you can point something out otherwise...

He scored 32 PPG on 24 shots in one of his 7 game stints with Orlando, so there's that.

What happened after those 7 games? Back to 25+ shots or what?

Meh, I never said McGrady was all that great in the playoffs nor did anyone accuse of him being great. People have said AI was great in the playoffs.

He's referring to the '03 Playoffs. McGrady managed around the same rate in the two prior playoff stints but those were only for four games- back when the opening series was only Best-of-5.
Then for good measure he repeated the rate in the '05 Playoffs for Houston. After that is when he started to taper off in efficiency.
AMMENDMENT: Actually in the '01 Playoffs, his first for Orlando by the way, his efficiency rate was right in line with Iverson's that same year, rather than in-line with the rest of his playoff stints in Orlando.

I was just asking, I didn't go back to look at what the argument was. Just curiosity on my part.

So Garnett's going to be shoved into a transitional role as a backup/instructor?

Or they can just play him at center over DAJ.

Is this post implying that DeAndre Jordan would start over Garnett?

It would do the following;
1. DeAndre's confidence doesn't get shot up by demoting him.
2. Garnett becomes fresher by having a reduced role, allowing him to expend more energy when he takes the floor.
3. At the same time Garnett ends up teaching DeAndre by example some of the tricks of defense, and with his manic devotion force the younger Jordan to up his own game.
You went to all that trouble to sign your youngster, why would you bury him for someone who may or may not last a couple of years at the most?

Because you think it makes you a championship team. If you think that starting Garnett makes you a championship team, then do it.

What would they be giving up?
I would think about giving them Jordan for Garnett because Jordan's contract is poopy.

The Clippers would probably have to do something like Eric Bledsoe + Caron Butler + something else for the Celtics to even want to do it.

I doubt the Celtics would want anyone over the age of 26 in return unless they're an expiring contract.
No idea what the Clippers could even offer. DeAndre Jordan and Billups for KG and Jason Terry?

The deal in the rumors is Butler and Bledsoe. I would think the Celtics would demand Bledsoe and Jordan in return, though. That would be a fair deal if the Celtics were looking to blow it up, but a terrible fit.

Of course Afflalo is out during the lone Magic game I'll be attending this year. And so are Redick and Nelson. lol. And Big Baby...but **** Big Baby. Here's hoping Moe Harkless, who is playing with a broken nose, just goes off...since he's gotten over his passive offensive game, "scared to shoot" BS. Shoot as much as you want tonight Big Moe.

I try to watch Orlando whenever I can because of Moe. Some games he just sits in the corner on offense and does nothing. I get so frustrated because he actually can score. He hasn't developed his shot yet but he can get to the rim.

So the Clips are interested in Garnett. Would they give up Bledsoe. Would the Celts want Bledsoe?
It can be done as Odom and Bledsoe for Garnett. It works for cash but I'm not sure it works on the court.

I think it's Butler and Bledsoe for Garnett.
If I'm the Celts I do it (although I may shop Garnett around and try to get a different position than PG).
If I'm the Clips I do it.
Problem is Garnett has a no trade clause and is irrationally loyal and loves PP and Doc.
The Clippers simply must deal Bledsoe for some frontcourt help.
