Well, Teddy Bridgewater looks like the real deal. I'm not sure what to think of Manziel though.

These guys aren't any better than the talent available at QB in this years draft class. I'd rather have Geno over either of them. I like Bridgewater. That's about it. Not confident in Manziel's game transitioning into the NFL as of now.

Small chance it actually happens.
Per Rotoworld:
Chiefs GM John Dorsey says there is no "clear-cut guy" at quarterback that has separated himself as a first-round pick.
"There is no quarterback where personnel guys can definitely say, 'He's a first-round pick,'" Dorsey said. "

He is the GM of one team and it's February. A lot can still happen.

IMO the Chiefs GM is still trying to leverage his draft position.
Dorsey is picking 1st overall. If he can sucker another team into believing he's taking a coveted player who's NOT a quarterback with the first pick, maybe someone is willing to trade up and allow the Chiefs to still get their guy somewhere in the top 5-10.
I could obviously be wrong, but as of right now I think odds are better than 80-90% the Chiefs select Geno Smith, whether it's at 1/1 or 1/5(possible trade down).
You know Dorsey is talking out of his ass when he says not one of these QB prospects is rated a first round selection AT ALL.
You're telling me guys like Ponder/Gabbert/Locker are all considered better pro prospects than Geno Smith/Barkley/Glennon??lol
Yeah right.
Earn that money, Dorsey. Keep spinning.

That's pretty wild since b1g qbs are doing pretty well in the nfl.

Why are you so hellbent on the Chiefs drafting a QB? If none are worth the pick, why pick one just because it's a need? You'll end up like the Jaguars with Blaine Gabbert.

Yeah, it was Collins. 1995 Draft. Who is the next one? Don't see any playing right now. Maybe PSU recruit Christian Hackenberg if he gets 4 years playing for Bill O'Brien.

It's not like Joe Flacco and Colin Kaepernick were viewed as can't miss prospects.

I think Glennon, Manuel (A close 2nd/even more potential), Smith and Barkley are all 1st round talents in that order.

I remember that 1996 draft that didn't have any first round QBs. Those QBs were garbage. For the entire 1995 season, the talk was that there wouldn't be a first round QB. The big debate was whether or not Danny Kanell or Bobby freaking Hoying would be the first QB off the board (it wound up being Tony Banks in the second round, and he was the best QB from the class by a pretty wide margin).
This class isn't anywhere near as weak as the 1996 class. You can't compare the two. Those guys in 1996 not only weren't very good, but almost all of them lacked upside.

I believe Flacco went to Pitt and then transferred to Delaware. A lot of people think he went to Michigan because Delaware straight jacked the Wolverines uniforms.

Next years class might be even worse if bridgewater and Manziel both decide to stay for another year. As for this year, I expect at least 2 qbs to go in the top 10, maybe some other team reaches for one later in the first.

I was unaware Tyler Bray was in the draft...put him between Smith and Manuel. Still have Glen on #1 as a legit top 10 pick and Manuel is there too with Smith, Bray and Barkley not that far off. I disagree with the assessment that this isn't a good year for QB's. Its a very good year.

In a league where Jake Locker went 8th Christian Ponder can go 13th and a good 7 teams with a real need at the position and all of them drafting at the same spot. I'm willing to bet at least one and as many as 3 get drafted in round 1
