Looks like Enzekial Ansah could be a buc. With Bennett's outrageous demands of 10.5 mil a year I don't know what our plan at de is. Bowers is facing jail time and suspension. Now the only sure thing we have is Adrian Clayborn who's coming off an ACL tear.

He didn't discharge it though. I'm not as well versed on American law as I am on Australian, but I'd guess that the fact he didn't shoot the gun and that he acknowledged its existence prior to being found with it may help him when it comes to a punishment.

Either way, this just all but guarantees that we'll be drafting D-Line in round 1.

Burress initial charges were way more severe and he reduces it to Bowers ones. Bowers will probably do the same and reduces those charges while accepting a plea deal. I really doubt he goes to jail.

Whether or not the weapon was actually fired doesn't matter under New York's draconian anti-gun laws.

Here's an example of just how stupid New York's laws are: The gun that Bowers was carrying in his luggage wasn't loaded... at least in the sense that you and I would consider it to be. However, Bowers made the mistake of putting a clip for the weapon in the same bag as the gun. Under New York's laws, simply having an unloaded weapon and a clip for it in the same bag constitutes a loaded firearm.

The only real thing Bowers has going for him right now is that this apparently happens quite often at LaGuardia, which is to be expected when you've got stupid crap like the aforementioned law. The Queens DA is reportedly a lot more lenient in cases like this, especially where Bowers was forthcoming about the weapon, than the Manhattan DA, who prosecuted Burress.

NY declares a loaded weapon if the clip and weapon are in the same bag. They're both in reach on a plane so technically yes it's considered a loaded gun.

I'd be shocked if he served any significant jail time. He unknowingly brought the gun to the airport... didn't know he'd be in NYC, declared he had the gun at the ticket counter (or something to that nature). I like bowers and I hope this doesn't hurt his playing career. He's had zero history of off the field issues.

However. This is stupidity. He knew he had the weapon after he went through nc airport. Which means you don't even mention or bring it through ny airports.

If we could trade back into the 20s and pick up an extra 2nd rounder I wouldn't mind it, there will still be some good defensive players in the 2nd still available.

Good story, good collegiate player, I wouldn't touch him, nor would I want my team to touch him. It's highly doubtful he will either ever recover fully or be able to stay away from injuries.

I'll have to agree. My main concerns with Rhodes and Milner were their deep speed, I'm pretty sure they laid those concerns to rest at the combine. The three of them are still pretty grabby and will need to adjust, but I'm sold on all three. I'd love to trade down to the late teens and take whichever one is still there.

Yeah te only thing is I think we have a hard time trading down unless someone like lane Johnson falls to us and someone wants to make a move.

Rhodes I think has the biggest upside and is exactly what schiano wants in a cb. Probably the best guy at the position. I think we take him at 13.

What ever happened to David Amerson from NC State? Wouldn't he be a good cover 2 cb or maybe even good safety because he seems like a good ball hawk, 16 INT's in 2 years is pretty damn good for anyone. I would love him in the 3rd or 4th round.
