Sooo if you've been friends with a couple for six years and after four years of dating she breaks up with the guy, how much of a douchebag move would it be if you ask the girl to hangout? How long do you give it?

I think about that all the time. My 2 closest friends have been in a relationship for 3 years and if he or she breaks up with the other, I can't imagine how awkward and ****** up a position I'll be in.

One of my best friends dated my cousin (who I've been close with my whole life since we live 5 mins. away from each other) for 4 years. It was very awkward when they broke up almost a year ago and I'm still in an awkward position lol.

Two of my really close friends dated for 6 years. They had an ugly break up due to another acquaintance of ours getting close to her. Well sure enough, that acquaintance ended up nailing her regularly and pretty much everyone i know hates that guy. It isn't worth it, especially because the only thing that will come from it is sex.

Depends on how close you were. I've always had more close female friends than male friends so usually in situations like that it's the girl I'm closer to. If that's the case it's not douchie at all.

EDIT: Didn't realize you meant hangout as in try to bone, in that case, you've got wait until you've set the guy up with some other girl to bone, then you're kinda in the clear.

I didnt mean hangout as bone. I've been friends with her a bit longer and at the time she actually liked me but I told her no because I was 22 and she was still 17. I'm closer to her, the guy is kind of a dick, he'll call her a ***** in front of her friends and such.

I don't want to be a dick though so I won't pursue it.
