IRC NBA Sim

- We will start out by drafting 8 players from the below list. Each player is rated 1-10. You will start 5 players and carry 3 on your bench. Adding up the player ratings for the starters will result in your team's overall rating. When teams go head to head, the team with the higher overall rating will have a higher probability to win.

- The positions for your teams will be C, F, F, G, G. You are required to have at least three bench players, one C, one F, and one G. You may have up to 5. The reason one would do this is for insurance. For instance, if you have a Center that will retire in 1988, you may want a good Center on your bench ready to take his place. Or, in another situation, one of your starters may suffer an injury, in which case your bench player would take over for him.

- The main strategy of this will be in how you draft, because not every position has the same depth, and each player will retire at a different point in the sim. The year listed next to each player is the first season they will be unavailable for.

- After the initial draft and filling out our teams, I will sim the first season and the playoffs. After that, the players who retired after the 84-85 season will be removed from rosters, and I will post the draft class for 1985. It will only be one round. Trades are allowed in the draft and throughout the entire offseason. Once the draft is complete, you will make any necessary FA signings or cuts, and we will move onto the next season.

- You will play each other team three times for a total of 18 games. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs, with each series being a best-of-seven. If two teams are tied in record at the end of the season, then, the regular season win/loss record between the two teams will be the tiebreaker.
