With the exception of the "top 5" label, how is this statement different for UNLV? Or is UNLV only not top 5 because grumble grumble ESPN grumble big six grumble can't even win their own conference.
EastSPN is horribly biased. New Mexico, a Mountain West team, is 2nd in RPI and 3rd in strength of schedule, and they're only ranked 14th.

So that means UNLV is going to the Final Four, right? Because their conferences best team should be ranked higher, so that means UNLV is better due to correlation of being in the same conference.

Again, a lot of teams have lost to unranked teams, including the top 5-7 teams in the country. How is that any different than UNLV and why are you using that as support for why UNLV is going to the Final Four instead of any of those teams?

UNLV is one of the most talented teams in the country, and they're starting to peak.
