Tom Cruise is mega awesome, and Minority Report is one of the best science fiction movies ever made. What has the gibberish in this thread turned into!

Took me long enough, but Star Trek was very well done. Chris Pine exceeded my expectations.

Watched Identity Thief. I thought it would be awful, it was actually decent.
As for Chris Pine in Star Trek, he killed it. Really looking forward to seeing Benedict Cumberbatch as the villain in the new Star Trek.

x10.. the casting in general was fantastic. Is Abrams staying on board for the new one?

Abrams will be directing yes. Crazy that he is following up Star Trek with the new Star Wars. You are right about the casting last time around being fantastic and they nailed it once again by casting Cumberbatch as Khan.

Yea he's been on a roll the last few years, definitely cool that he's getting a chance to re-establish both franchises. He's set the bar high with Trek.

I dont care all tat much, because I wasn't a trek fan and Im a moderate Star Wars fan at best, however, it would be really tacky if he tried to do some wink wink connections between the two movie universes. I mean, I love him, but I heard Simon Pegg might be in the new star wars as well which could just be because Pegg is the man or it may be a sign of things to come.

Haven't watched Batman Begins in so long. I almost forgot how good this movie was.
I'm kind of obsessed with the Batman Trilogy.

I'm not particularly a fan of either, but any sort of connections between the two would just be weird and unnecessary. I doubt it would actually be implemented however, Abrams doesn't strike me as a personality director like Tarantino.

I guess I understand why people didn't like Looper but I am going to get on my high horse and say you bastards just didn't get it. So ******* unique, I really felt it was one of the greatest cinematic achievements to date. The raw energy and power in every performance, every camera movement, every moment just really resonated with me.

Haha, I rarely watch movies but for the last few days I've been on a movie kick. I guess it didn't help that Netflix has been ******** for me lately so I haven't been able to watch anything. :(
I watched Looper, 21 Jump Street (again), Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Master (barf), and tomorrow is Argo.

I watched it again fairly recently and I liked it a lot more now that I'm used to the newer style of these Batman movies. I thought Batman Begins was weird at first. Liam Neeson is the bomb yo.

21 Jump Street is one of the better comedies of the last decade, but Looper still sucks.

Viddy knows. Now we just need to get him to acknowledge how brilliant Duck Dynasty and Amish Mafia are as TV shows.
