Should have firmed up my stance with Buffalo's upset chances today. They're a decent team at home and Akron was set up for a let down after the Ohio game. I knew they could do well in the battle of the big guys, and McCrea did not disappoint. He is playing damn well right now and they deserved this win after a couple heartbreakers.
This certainly hurts Akron's at-large chances. Figured this would be their last test before the tournament and it is just not a good loss for them.

It's apparent in this MSU-Michigan game that college officials are just intent on calling a charge every time a defender falls over. They really need to do something about this its getting ridiculous.

Keith Appling really needs to figure out whatever is wrong with him before the tournament starts.

It should have to be blatantly obvious that there's a charge or else give the offense the benefit of the doubt.

He has gotten better since his freshman and sophomore years and has made himself into a solid defender, but yeah for the most part you're right. If he finds a spot in the NBA it's going to be as a fringe guy with very limited minutes.

Anyone else getting excited for the new "Big East"?
I hope something happens with the ACC and Notre Dame joins these schools. When all around us, schools are breaking up rivalries, and joining conferences that make zero geographic sense, I love that this new conference is setting out to create new, great natural rivalries.

Is it just me or is USC interviewing Tim Floyd a joke? The guy resigned from the program in order to avoid recruiting violations that were about to slam him...and now they want him back? Am I missing something or is this just USC being USC?

I hadn't heard this. That is extremely shady, but seems to be par for the course there.

To be technically correct, they "had discussions" with him, rather than a formal interview, but we all know what that means.
U$C will be U$C

I don't know why Tim Floyd would want to go back to USC. UTEP is a better job than USC in men's basketball.

Money Talks. Also, it's probably easier to recruit to LA then it would be to El Paso.

Now it'll probably be a 4-way tie for Big 10 title.
When was the last time that happened?

Tim Floyd has gotten five Rivals 150 players in the last two seasons.

I didn't say impossible. Hell, UTEP has a national championship and I don't think USC does. However, it doesn't mean it's not easier and probably would get more resources.
My school is Illinois State, I understand coaches leaving for not really a step up (SMU).

Living in LA is also a hell of a lot better than living in El Paso.
